Casa Calido is in a prime location very central. Unfortunately, the house is not quite what it should be. The beds are very uncomfortable and small, a double bed of 1.30 by 1.80 is not comfortable. There were blood stains on the bedding. There is no air conditioning in the house which is not that big of a problem, but the fans (there were 2 present while there are 3 bedrooms) were not strong and almost fell apart. We were warned to be very careful with the water, the pool was not very clean, when we indicated this they cleaned it and then no more. It is logical that every house has something, only Casa calido has just a little too many defects, which is a shame for a holiday home in such a top location.

Just got back from Casa Calido, weird that the last review was so negative and all the previous ones very good... For us it was excellent, beautiful Spanish style house with large parking with large terrace and beautiful swimming pool with enough seating for large families, upstairs you can sunbathe on the patio (4 sun loungers) or at the pool and in the distance you can see the sea, further; good seats and large TV (much larger than on the site) with TV Vlaanderen, 2 bathrooms with shower and toilet, very important to us good beds (back problem) there is also a cot, I read in previous reviews of ceiling fans, they were not there but fans on foot (the lighting would only be completely renewed), we did not use the outside kitchen but the kitchen inside was very solid and beautiful. Also mention that it is about 1.5 km away to the village of Finestrat, (we took the car but can also be done on foot) a beautiful and quiet village where you will find everything, cafes, restaurants, pizza, butcher, department store (Mercadona) etc, Benidorm is a 10 to 15 min drive to the center. For some good for others less so, it is very quiet and you still have everything close by for us perfect. We had a few questions for the owners and were helped very well and friendly. We will definitely go back.

The beds were anything but comfortable, 1 bed was almost separate from each other and the mattresses of the 2 single beds were so worn that the springs come through your body. There were 2 bathrooms but one bathroom we couldn't use because all the water ended up outside. We were given towels that were so old and worn out that it was actually too bad to use them. They also smelled. I washed everything before use and the washcloths were too bad. The bedding smelled musty like all the rest of the house. We didn't use the cushions in the seats of the living room, they were very dirty. We have not been able to use the kettle either, there was a thick layer of lime on the bottom. Toaster only worked on one side and as icing on the cake all the ceiling fans were broken except the one in the living room so it was sweltering hot in the house. In any case, for us it is not worth repeating. What you see in the photos does not correspond to reality and that has more than ruined our holiday. Only plus was the pool, which was nice and big.
Hygiene was anything but okay and you end up paying 150€ for the cleaning but there was nothing clean. Cutlery and crockery also had to be washed first before use. For someone who values hygiene, this experience was a downer. The location was ideal, quiet but still a stone's throw from Benidorm center.

It's a fantastic house. We really enjoyed it. Especially the spacious covered terrace with dining table and lounge set was very welcome. The pool was also lovely, as was the garden around it.

If you stand next to the pool you can see Benidorm in the distance and the sea. Sea view ;-)

The house itself is spacious, has bars on the windows for security and has shutters. There are also mosquito nets for each window, so you can open everything without insects entering. Despite this, it remained very warm in the house, but that is due to the fact that it is so close to the sea, so the temperature (August) at night did not drop below 26-28 degrees. An air conditioner would have been nice. I would have gladly paid for the electricity for this.

The house is very quiet and Finestrat is a 1 to 2 minute drive away and a very large shopping center with mega supermarkets is less than a 10-minute drive away. Vilajoyosa, a very nice seaside town, not as busy as Benidorm, was a 15-20min drive away. Location so perfect.

The house is fully equipped with outdoor barbecue (unfortunately the grill was not clean), deep fryer, TV, DVD (with lots of DVD movies in the cupboard), reading books (books and comic books plentiful).

I would also like to mention a few small minuses:
- A number of ceiling fans did not work, fortunately there were standing fans.
- It was a warm house, despite the shutters, an air conditioner would have been nice.
- The dishwasher turned out to be gone, was broken and not replaced.
- The beds are very short and narrow
- The toilet paper is not allowed in the toilet but must be thrown in a bucket with perfumed bags (because of skeptical tank). That's something I found a little gross.

No house is perfect, neither is this house, but despite the few flaws, we enjoyed this house extremely and can recommend it to everyone. If we ever want to return to this region, we will certainly consider it.
