Hostess and gentleman are very friendly and have a lot of tips about the area. We felt very welcome! Apartment is spacious, and so quiet there. Garden is top notch! A bit outdated in some areas (bathroom for example), but it is comfortable and the price/quality ratio is fine! Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines is a good base, the village itself offers everything!

The large garden is phenomenal, and we enjoyed a lot in the nice easy chairs of the garden.
The holiday home is located in the middle of the village, so within walking distance of the supermarket and restaurants. However, the house is quietly located.
The owners are very friendly and helpful.
Small point of improvement is the mattress/bed in the bedroom.

We were extremely satisfied, with a few caveats. Showering in a bath (we might have known but didn't notice it in the description) is, given the physical discomfort without wanting to go into further detail, not convenient. We wouldn't choose that next time. We also missed a nice easy chair. I might not recommend the accommodation for the disabled because the cobblestone pavement does require the necessary attention with (did not apply to us) a possible walker is that a thing I think. All in all, we enjoyed it. Lysbeth and Frank are lovely people and Frank certainly surprised and spoiled us with his cooking skills

It's great that a table de hote is offered of a high quality at the price of a tourist menu and then also in a great ambiance. Magnificent garden. Good base.

In addition to appropriate interior, spacious living space. Own front door. Lots of privacy.
A very nice garden at the apartment, part of a former company / house, where through and between trees, old garden walls, canopies and paths breathes history.
The town is now, after a rich distant past, being resuscitated again. Nature is very close and beautiful.
We had a great time with all this and the enthusiasm and interest of hostess and gentleman.

Tip: we didn't really miss a TV in the apartment, but something like a simple music system (mini) or via wifi would be nice, that gives just a little more atmosphere.
Furthermore, a nice old-fashioned garden lantern piece or two would also be nice in the garden, which you can then switch on when it is dark when going in and out of the garden.

Booked "table d'hôte" the evening of arrival: highly recommended, good food without looking for an appropriate resto. Ste-Marie doesn't offer a lot of possibilities either, rather faded glory. However, it is excellently located to explore the beautiful region. Sélestat and Colmar are well worth a visit. Also the wine route: very tasty Riesling and Sylvaner bought at friendly prices. Do!
