Very cozy cottage in a beautiful quiet spot. We enjoyed it. The only downsides were that on arrival the house smelled very musty/damp, your toilet paper was not allowed to flush and there was no wifi (we should have known this because this was not indicated). Despite that, we had a great time.

Beautiful place with lots of privacy. Walking distance to the village. Although the house is very humid inside, we did not experience that as disturbing. Ventilate well and use the air conditioning. We can recommend it to every...

Beautiful place with lots of privacy. Walking distance to the village. Although the house is very humid inside, we did not experience that as disturbing. Ventilate well and use the air conditioning. We can recommend it to everyone.

The house is within walking distance of the ocean and the town with boulevard and beach. It is detached but with neighbors, which is not visible in the photos. Everything is nearby in terms of groceries, restaurants, etc. You c...

The house is within walking distance of the ocean and the town with boulevard and beach. It is detached but with neighbors, which is not visible in the photos. Everything is nearby in terms of groceries, restaurants, etc. You can look for the hustle and bustle, but in the house you have peace and plenty of privacy. The house is fully furnished, only the bed was a bit narrow.
Fog sometimes drifted in from the ocean, so it had to be well ventilated and possibly heated.
In short, we had a very nice time.

Nice house in a beautiful place and within perfect walking distance of São Martinho. Due to its location close to the coast, it can be windy and humid, but sheltered places and good air conditioning/heating offer a great solution for that. Ludger and Marijke are great hosts and respond to all your questions. The photo accompanying the review shows what you see when you sit on the porch under your own palm. Not to be sneezed at!

Definitely recommended to relax and beautiful surroundings. Owners also very friendly in the mails/explanations and with a welcome card everything felt good. You can walk to the town and to the sea in five minutes. Beautiful coast and the house has plenty of places to sit. Nice décor and new kitchen and if you listened carefully you could hear the surf. Nice view and nice people.
We had very nice weather and enjoyed beautiful monasteries, places in the area and the house itself. And of course good food in the area.
All in all, highly recommended.

Charming house, quietly located near the ocean. Nicely furnished, equipped with a beautiful new kitchen and with nice seating areas in front and behind the house and a nice roof terrace where our teenagers slept outside at their own request. The house is surrounded by some other dwellings. That was different for us than the photos suggested, but it was not disturbing. The bay in the village is great for swimming. The beach close by is especially beautiful to visit in the morning or at sunset.
