Beautiful location. Getting used to getting the car in the driveway (or off) road is very narrow. But you'll soon figure that out. Nice big house, lots of space in and around the house and a very quiet location. Very neat modern kitchen (just a pity that there are still people who do not put the used items back in the cupboard / drawer clean, but the landlord can't really do anything about that). We started with the dishes. Perhaps a tip: the tenant can put the dishes in the dishwasher on the last day and the cleaner will clean them out? Do you charge extra cleaning costs for this? Cottage was otherwise well clean. There are 2 fridge-freezer combinations, one of which is a bit older. In my opinion, the microwave could be replaced, then it becomes a luxury kitchen. Spacious bedrooms with mosquito nets! Because you are near the water a lot of mosquitoes, so well thought out. 2 bathrooms, also nice and luxurious. Use of good garden chairs, too bad the parasol had broken a week before us. But fortunately I was not bothered by it, the weather was not too hot and with a breeze it was easy to endure on the beautiful large terrace. There are also sun loungers and a barbecue, which we did not use. Cooked a few times and went out for dinner. Garden is also neat. There is a gate that can be locked with a key, so it is also safe for smaller children. The jetty itself does not have a staircase to climb out of the water, the neighbors do but there was a boat in front of it, which was a bit inconvenient. What would make it even more fun for children is if there was a small canoe or rowing boat that they could use. In short, a wonderfully relaxed place to laze around, read (plenty of books for everyone) but also to cycle, sail or drive to another place by car. Nice environment, never been before but liked it very much. Good WiFi (also nice for teenagers). Truly a place to celebrate holidays and be jealous of. Thank you very much for allowing us to rent your house.

Yes, the microwave does indeed need to be replaced after 23 years.
The sheet piling was tackled last year. We then chose to make a lowered section so that you can easily get out of the water. The installation of a staircase leads to the piercing of the sheet piling, resulting in rotting and the outflow of sand. One convenience then leads to another (expensive) inconvenience.
I totally agree about 'finishing' it by putting down a boat. Here, however, is the problem: damage, maintenance, and theft. For our (grand)children we have an inflatable boat in a bag and that works fine. Perhaps something to bring with you as a tenant.
