We stayed at Bergerie L'Occitane at the end of June and beginning of July. It is a beautifully restored old property and quite spacious. We were there during a heatwave and downstairs kept pleasantly cool though the bedrooms did get a little warm! We would love to stay there again apart from a couple of issues. It is very close to a road and though not particularly busy, it did attract noisy heavy lorries and motorbikes. Also the pool is in a separate garden, not ideal! I I t would benefit from some of the trees being cut back as they caused a lot of mess in the courtyard area and around and in the pool.
The WiFi was very frustrating only working about 10% of the time when we tried to use it.
Rene was a super host and quickly sorted out any problems and a lovely guy!

We have had a wonderful week in the home of Rene and Jeannette. Everything was complete and well arranged. Fortunately, we were able to use the swimming pool next to the house a lot due to the beautiful weather.

Beautiful nature, lots to see and discover. Definitely recommended is the medieval village of Minerve in the middle of the gorges, 20 minutes away from the cottage. Vineyards everywhere and a lot of history to admire. Landlords...

Beautiful nature, lots to see and discover. Definitely recommended is the medieval village of Minerve in the middle of the gorges, 20 minutes away from the cottage. Vineyards everywhere and a lot of history to admire. Landlords are very involved. Definitely recommended for those who love peace and nature!

Warm welcome and very nice people.
There was even a decorated Christmas tree ready for us! Beautiful location in the middle of the mountains with many evergreens, which gives a summer feeling even in winter. Many nice villages in the area and cities such as Narbonne and Pezenas and various coastal towns are easily accessible by car. In short, we enjoyed thanks to René and Jeanette who are always there for you and at the same time give you all the privacy.

La Bergerie is a characteristic French house with beams and thick walls and fully equipped inside. A spacious kitchen, cozy living room with wood stove and flat screen TV with all Dutch television channels. Upstairs 3 bedroom and large bathroom with bath and walk-in shower. In front of the house a walled patio where we always ate. Next to the house is a private swimming pool with 6 sunbeds, various seating areas and a large dining table. Around trees, so there is always a shady spot to be found. The surroundings are beautiful, vineyards and medieval villages and towns everywhere. From the house you can walk in two directions. To the left you will reach a river in 30 minutes. Follow the blue lines. You could walk on to Roquebrun. We didn't do that because it's a day's walk. If you cross the road you can walk to La Caunette and Minerve (also medieval). Have a delicious lunch and then go back again. The owners Jeannette and René are treasures of people who do everything they can to make you as pleasant as possible, despite the fact that they live 40 kilometers away. We had a great time here and hope to come back here again.

We were warmly received by Renė and Jeannette. And we had a wonderful week in the bergerie, a beautiful setting, much nicer than expected, and plenty to do both close to the house and further away.
