I stayed at Villa Julietta for 5 weeks. A wonderful holiday. Here's some more commentary.
Location
Perfect if you have a car. Beautiful views over the Mediterranean Sea and towards Alicante.
Lovely quiet area. Not bothered by the two nearby roads.
Arrangement
The living room is quite spacious. The hung photos are all damaged! Too bad, they are beautiful images of Alicante.
Expectations were raised by the website, photos and descriptions. Some were disappointing:
the bathrooms especially. Quite old-fashioned, no place at the showers for soap or shampoo, a very slippery floor in the shower, a toilet seat that was too small. And a repaired tub that didn't look good!
It wasn't until we left (when I met the caretaker for the first time) that she told me that all bathrooms will be renovated in due course.
Fridge with freezer compartment fine but on the small side for several guests. Good, simple dishwasher also a bit on the small side. Excellent washing machine and dryer.
Would have preferred a Senseo or Nespresso type coffee machine than the filter that was there. Much simpler for one or two people.
Photos on the websites, both inside and outside, no longer correspond to reality. Maybe adjust after refurbishing the bathrooms?
Instructions on how to operate the TV/dish would have been easier. There are Dutch channels but no BBC and only Eurosport 1 Germany.
Beautiful garden, with beautiful palms, cacti and flowering plants, a pity that they are little maintained.
Great pool, although there were a few problems with filtering.
The sunbeds by the pool did not have a mattress and were very hard. There were no pillows or pool towels provided. One parasol is not enough if there are several people present.
In between cleaning (Natalia?) was very thorough.
Owner particularly helpful when needed.
