Beautiful house in a quiet, agricultural destination. View of meadows with horses, buzzards, wagtails and sparrows (nice to take binoculars with you!). Ideal for peace seekers, nature lovers and families with young children (swing, trampoline, climbing house with slide and space). A little less attractive for our lazy teenagers, but great for us. We have lazed around in the comfortable furniture inside and outside, but have also been active: mountain biking on various well-maintained trails, hiking, horseback riding, swimming in the Heuveltjesbosbad, a day in Zwolle and picking organic berries from the neighbors. The cottage is fully equipped and in mint condition. The hospitable and thoughtful landlords are the icing on the cake with their cozy grandchildren and dogs (they are kept away from you if you don't like it).
The blue sofa bed from the photos has now been replaced by a real bed, which suited us very well. The double bed on the ground floor was a bit soft and the pillows were a bit thick for our taste, but those are personal preferences. The double bedroom of the top floor is now also dependent on bathroom and toilet downstairs. A bathroom upstairs in an empty space is planned. Mosquito nets will also be installed one of these days (were already ordered) to keep flies and mosquitoes out. That will only improve the comfort of the house. Highly recommended, we would love to return someday!

We had a wonderful week! Due to its location (surrounded by greenery, with plenty of privacy), the holiday home is the ideal place to relax, and the ideal place to enjoy the varied and beautiful nature in the Ommen region from there (we did that by bike).
The house is fully equipped, we found it spotless, and the owners really do everything to make the stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible.
We recommend this house with full conviction!

Edwin and Gina are two very hospitable people who rent out a great cottage in their yard with plenty of privacy and beautiful views over the countryside. The cottage lacks nothing, it offers enough facilities and space to get through the day even in bad weather. We found the mattress downstairs a bit on the soft side, but luckily we were able to move upstairs, which was fine. Unfortunately, we have not been able to sit outside due to the weather, but everything is also available there (seats, relax chairs, playground equipment). And from the house we could see every day how lovingly Edwin treats his horses. Ommen has a cozy center and Dalfsen and Zwolle are also nice places to visit. All in all, we enjoyed our stay in cottage Woeste Wolden and can therefore heartily recommend it.

Located close to forests and within cycling distance to, for example, the nice center of Ommen and Dalfsen (both on the Overijsselse Vecht). The area is characterized by varied landscapes.
