I stayed for five days with
son and grandchildren in Foz dos Barreiros. We enjoyed it. What a paradisiacal place. A beautiful view from a comfortable house. Space, tranquility and an attractive walking area. The natural pool, freshly filled with spring water, was still cold, but the sun ensures that it provides wonderful cooling in the summer.
There are beautiful places in the area, you can eat well in Piodao (delicious goat and sheep cheese for sale) and with a well-stocked fridge you won't want to leave. I hope to return there!

It is remote, but that also provides something extra. Peace, space and priceless views.

House well equipped, great cooking, good bbq. Unfortunately, I could not use the swimming pool due to the disappointing weather, but I can imagine how special it is to swim in a 'natural pool' with that view!
Wi-Fi is limited to our standard and also mobile hardly any coverage, which is something to take into account.
In any case, I can heartily recommend the house! The care and attention of Sandra and her family is outstanding.

Great location, never seen anything like it. Swinging in the pool is swimming somewhere between heaven and earth, you never get enough of it. Great walks from the house and a bit futher away. It is indeed remote, with long and windy roads to anything you want to go to, but you get used to that fairly soon. And why would you want to leave the house? Perfect for the calmer end of an active holiday, just to sit and read and take in your surroundings. House itself is well equipped, great beds, wifi, living room/kitchen a bit small - but who needs that when the outside is so grea. Sandra is always within reach, even when she's abroad, and her parents are in the village for anything that comes up. Did I mention the pool, filled with water directly from the sourece...?

Een klein rustiek paradijsje. heerlijk wandelen met stroompjes en watervalletjes om te ontdekken.. Prive zwembad waarbij je bij goed weer zelf de temperatuur van het water kan regelen. fraaie barbeque en panoramische terrassen om 's ochtends wakker te worden of 's avonds een boek te lezen. In juli bij temperaturen boven de 30 graden koelt het in de avond toch aangenaam af.
De weg er naar toe vraagt om een beetje doorzettingsvermogen maar is echt de moeite waard. Boodschappen doen is iets wat wel even ingepland moet worden. Heel vriendelijke en behulpzame gastvrouw.

Mooi gelegen huisje, midden in de natuur. Heerlijk rustig, en mooie uitvalsbasis voor wandelingen.

We hebben heerlijke dagen gehad. Lekker wandelen of juist luieren in het fijne grote zwembad, eten in een van de restaurants bij het nabije dorp of van de BBQ bij het huis. En dan de geur van de eucalyptusbomen.
