The only downside is a dishwasher that doesn't work very well, the shower rod that can't be adjusted and the light curtains...

The only downside is a dishwasher that doesn't work very well, the shower rod that can't be adjusted and the light curtains in the bedroom. Which makes you wake up very early if you are used to a dark room.
We enjoyed the house, garden and surroundings.

Very friendly homeowners, easy contact via Whatsapp. The house is pleasant with many stairs between the different rooms. Lovely beds. Hiking via marked hiking trails is possible from home, hiking map available.

We had a wonderful summer holiday in La Comte 5! The house is large and well insulated due to the thick walls. Here and there you have to bend over for the low beams, which is part of the charm of such an old house. Our boys of 2 and 4 could fool around in the garden and also liked the house very much (there are many stairs, which was not a problem for us but which can be more difficult with a toddler). The location is very quiet in a small hamlet in the countryside. For those who love this peace and quiet, this is the perfect place! The house is centrally located not far from tourist attractions such as the waterfalls of Coo, caves of Remouchamps etc. (a 20-30 minute drive) - a nice base for all kinds of activities. The house was very clean, the contact with the landlords was very nice and the caretaker also received us hospitably!

La Comte 5 is a lovely holiday home in real Ardennes old style. For tall people, you have to be careful with the low bars. The area is beautiful for hiking, biking (MTB), fishing. We had a wonderful week.

At Christmas (2016) we stayed in this house for a week. Beautiful, characteristic, attractive house. In some places the ceilings are low but I (1.90m) got used to it quickly. The reception by Christine was fine, just a pity tha...

At Christmas (2016) we stayed in this house for a week. Beautiful, characteristic, attractive house. In some places the ceilings are low but I (1.90m) got used to it quickly. The reception by Christine was fine, just a pity that our knowledge of the French language is not that great. To our surprise, the house was already in the Christmas spirit, which felt very warm. The car can be conveniently parked (covered) 50 meters away. If you have any questions and/or are unclear, you can always call the landlord, even during the Christmas season. Everything in the house, kitchen appliances, TV, wifi, heaters ect. functioned fine. We had a wonderful week there.
