We had a great 2 weeks in this holiday home!
The peace and space was lovely. The garden is very nice, even in warm weather there is always a place in the shade to be found. In the garden we often saw the acorn mouse walking over the wall and we heard owls. During the day it was fun with the many hummingbird butterflies and every now and then a blue-black carpenter bee. The children once saw a fox walking in the land behind the wall. From the house we took a few walks, nicely between sunflower fields.
We visited Lac de Monampteuil 2x, a nice, but busy on hot days, lake with a beach.
We found the Chateau de Pierrefonds very beautiful. Laon is a nice, not too big town, delicious food at the pizzeria there. The cathedral in Laon is worth a visit, we were there on Saturday, when one after the other bride and groom came to get married.
We also went to Disneyland for a day, which is doable in terms of distance.
The children (9 and 11 years old) had a great time with all the games and toys.
We found the record player with the LPs great, wide choice and good music (we thought:-))
If you love peace and nature, this place is highly recommended!
