Cottage is located right on a busy main road, so the traffic rushes by continuously. There is limited view from the cottage because there is a lot of high vegetation, which is not shown in the photos.
Cottage is very clammy and damp and smells musty despite heating and extractor hood on hot days.
The lack of Wi-Fi is a loss.

The house is really in a beautiful area and is ideal if you like walking and cycling.

Keep in mind that the interior is very cool. That is very nice for a hot summer, but now we found it too cold and lit the electric heaters in the evening.

The cottage is beautifully situated, offers a lot of privacy. There is a lot to do in the area. Living room and kitchen are in order, the amenities are basic. We did not like the indoor climate in the bedrooms.

Apart from 'paying attention when crossing', this is a nice place to stay. Cycling, walking, canoeing, just reading (plenty of books!) or visiting something, everything is possible. We did a lot by bike. There are spacious cycl...

Apart from 'paying attention when crossing', this is a nice place to stay. Cycling, walking, canoeing, just reading (plenty of books!) or visiting something, everything is possible. We did a lot by bike. There are spacious cycle paths everywhere, you can cycle straight into Germany. But a trip along the Maas to Roermond is also wonderful!

A nice location for a few days away. The cottage is fully equipped. What we did find a pity is that no window can be opened in the downstairs bedroom. For that, you actually have to leave the door open.

It is also a nice base for bike rides. There is a fairly busy road along the house,

Starting point for many trips and walks. With hot days, nice and cool inside. You can hear the traffic well. We sat outside a lot and it didn't bother us, you get used to everything.

The house remains exceptionally cool due to the thick walls and shutters (max 22 inside, 30+ outside). Great base for cycling and walking in the De Meinweg nature reserve. Furthermore, Arcen, Thorn and Roermond nearby.
