How we enjoyed our holiday in Casa de la 'Serenidad' near Lake Vinuela in the less touristy Axarquía region! In and around the villa -which is located on a hill- there is indeed a silence that you rarely find! We completely relaxed in the heated swimming pool and on the various terraces and did not get bored of the breathtaking views of Comares, among others! Bakery and 2 supermarkets 2 km away. The villa itself is easily accessible (not far from the A-356). The kitchen and BBQ are equipped enough for self-catering. But in the area we found many restaurants where we could eat (especially in the afternoon!) nice and cheap! It is also an ideal base for (half) day trips to e.g. Comares, El Saltillo, ... The mountain roads can sometimes be very steep and unpaved! Comares, Mondrón etc... you reach ;) in a safer way via a detour along the main roads! We will enjoy our memories for a long time to come. Beautiful house, great view, quiet location and yet within walking distance of restaurants (if you like a long walk). Lovely pool, good beds and mosquito nets on the windows everywhere. Kitchen is fully equipped and both inside...

Beautiful house, great view, quiet location and yet within walking distance of restaurants (if you like a long walk). Lovely pool, good beds and mosquito nets on the windows everywhere. Kitchen is fully equipped and both inside and outside there are plenty of seats and comfortable sofas.
The contacts with the owner were fine. We went very last-minute, but everything was arranged very smoothly. The reception on the spot by Roger was also pleasant. Roger was English-speaking and easily accessible. In short, absolutely recommended and we definitely hope to come back.
