A special house in an even more special location. It's not a dime a dozen. Walking up to get there caused some grumbling in the beginning, but later you have a great view over the mountains and the river as a counterpart. Enjoy swimming and the peace and quiet. Special holiday home. The house is located against a mountain, above the other houses and is accessible via a steep path. The path is passable when it is dry and you get used to the climb quickly. The house is simply furnished but everything is there. For those who like to find peace and quiet, this is a wonderful place.
The only downside we found was that the sun comes late to the house (mid-September around 9:30) and is gone early because the house is located in a narrow valley. But once the sun is there, you can enjoy it on the large terrace, one of the smaller seating areas or on the beach by the river.
The contact with owner Arjan went very smoothly and we felt very welcome in his house.

The only concern is the communal path upward; This one is quite steep. You can only walk this with shoes with tread. The landlord has been trying to do something about this for years, but we understand that the municipality is not really cooperating. It is therefore also a nuisance for the landlord. If it has rained, caution is advised.
The owner is an absolute treasure! Definitely recommended!
