As a result, we had a nice relaxing holiday!

But the house and the entourage is so unique. There are few places that can top this.

We had a great holiday in your house! Beautiful large house in a very beautiful area, and very luxurious, each bedroom has its own bathroom. With 2 teenagers who stream quite a lot and a Wifi connection that depends on the weather, we had prepared ourselves for a bad connection but that was 100% not too bad! The house is beautifully deserted and you are not bothered by anyone (even barking dogs sounded far away), wonderfully quiet!! The disadvantage of this is that it takes a while before you reach the cottage (there is indeed a faster road but much steeper and not doable with our station wagon). But we are on holiday and therefore have plenty of time! Too bad there was an electric bbq (and not one with coals), also a pity that the umbrellas for shade by the pool could not always be used because of the strong wind. Very surprising were a crossing camel and snake (on the way to the village) and a small pig along the path. Very nice to see!! This house is definitely recommended if you like peace and privacy!!

We only missed 2 things: a coffee maker and mosquito nets. The latter because it was very hot in the house but it was also full of small mosquitoes/midges. A tricky dilemma at night, either too hot or punctured.
Everything else is fantastic and you get used to it!

Balcon de Guardia is a beautiful house and super nicely located. The road to it is very bumpy and after a few heavy rain showers it is difficult to pass. We didn't think our rented car was suitable for that. The décor is very tasteful and the house is fully equipped. We were able to receive guests without any problems. We were amply provided with towels and linen. The owners are easily accessible and when the power supply turned out to be inadequate (due to clouds the batteries were not sufficiently charged) there was a nice gentleman at the door in the morning who recharged the batteries with the help of the existing generator. A day later, he brought another bag of fruit from his own orchard. We had a great holiday. Thank you Harry and Simone for allowing us to stay in your home!

Balcon de Guardia is a pearl among the holiday homes! A beautiful house, very tastefully decorated and fully equipped. With idyllic corners and such a large garden that there is always something new to discover. The view is breathtaking, at any time of the day and in any weather and at night you can count thousands of stars. The pool is lovely and surrounded by beautiful flowers. There are sunbeds and chairs and mattresses and pillows and time really stands still. For those who like to be on their own is a perfect holiday destination. Nerves of steel (and patience) are required for the dirt road to the house and for the travelers with a little more guts and (a little less patience): There is a faster way, via the other side, only this one goes down from the house and from the road up to the house...
There is a booklet with extensive tips about the area. We tried several of them, but our favorite beach was Salobreña (near Peñon). Can be reached within half an hour via the fast road. Our eldest was able to jump off the cliff there. He also climbed the highest mountain in the Sierra Nevada with his father, the Mulhacen. A wonderful experience for father and son and doable for an 11-year-old child. With overnight stay in the refuge.
As a family we also spent the night somewhere twice to be able to be in a city in the evening. In Almuñecar (with a visit to the water park the next day, on a Monday wonderfully quiet and a relief compared to other such parks) and (of course) in Granada. What a beautiful city!
We enjoyed our stay at Balcon de Guardia and would recommend it to anyone with an adventurous spirit and a penchant for beauty and tranquillity.

We enjoyed it! Of course, we 2 couples had a lot of money here. Enjoyed simple but super attractive décor and we had a "wow" feeling every time we walked outside! We have been on the road almost every day, but the morning sun / evening sun (13/20 May)
Top. Take a dip in the lovely swimming pool, play a game of fanatic boules on a bumpy boule court with a drink and then enjoy a long evening with barbecue, snacks and company at the large table on the veranda. Everything in the kitchen is well available.
We had 1 time a little fresh shower water. The road is long and bumpy but not scary and you get used to it. (There is a faster route (navigation also indicates) but then you have to have a powerful car and not be a scaredy-cat.) Landlords very friendly and if you have any questions.. Quick Response
We are going to remember this place, while we will never go back to the same area! From here you can discover many different environments from winding mountain roads to the sea, from picturesque villages to nice cities.

What a great holiday this was! We wanted peace and quiet and time for the family. Well, it definitely worked out here. The house is somewhat secluded, but therefore you have a super nice view and a lot of peace. The children could play heartlessly in the beautiful and greeting pool. In the house you lack nothing. Really it is fully equipped. The road from the village to the house is bumpy and you have to drive slowly, but you get used to it quickly and it is easy to do. The various fantastic stands are easily accessible and you can eat delicious and affordable food.
We could go here again. An absolute must!

The power went out in the evening, the owners did their utmost to solve this as soon as possible. And it worked. We had been in constant contact with the owners. When we got home there was a package as compensation, which was great.
