During our 3 week holiday in Suriname, Oso Naomi has been our safe and comfortable home base.
* We did not feel unsafe in and around the house for a moment, connected by the alarm system and camera surveillance to a control center that is located right in front of the house. We experienced that the system works when we once accidentally opened an outside door before the alarm was switched off.
* The house is fully furnished with good furniture, well-equipped kitchen and plenty of bath and bed textiles. We especially appreciated the washing machine with large filling capacity. The mattresses on the beds may be perceived as a little too hard by some.
* Air conditioning in all bedrooms (one with en suite bathroom with shower, bath and toilet) and the living room, the spacious feeling created by the living room, dining room and open kitchen and the hot water supply for the kitchen and bathrooms contribute to the comfortable stay in the house.
* In practice, the carport that functions as a covered terrace turned out to be the most used place to stay, from early morning to late evening. A wonderful place to enjoy the outdoors, even during rain showers, sitting in one of the comfortable chairs at the large table or lying in one of the hammocks. From here also a view of the beautifully landscaped spacious and well-maintained swimming pool and the large garden behind it as a green oasis. The green garden with trees and flowering shrubs also attracts birds (and the occasional iguana) and you can enjoy the bird sounds.
* Particularly nice is the location of the house in a relatively quiet and good neighborhood with supermarkets and restaurants in the area and convenient to roads in and from the center of Paramaribo.
* Finally, a word of appreciation for Mr. Henk, manager of the house, for the pleasant reception upon arrival in the house and the way in which he responded promptly the few times we needed his assistance to solve minor issues at the house. Excellent service.
The stay at Oso Naomi has contributed significantly to the success of our holiday and it is at the top of our list of possible places to stay for the next holiday in Suriname which we are already planning. Given the many periods in 2023 and even 2024 in which the house has already been reserved or there is an option, we can make progress in concretizing our plans.
