Richard has always been an optician/optometrist by profession with his own, well-run optical shop. Since we live in France, working on Courcenay has been at the top of the hobby list.
Marloes is a toxicologist by profession, something she still enjoys doing as a consultant 1 to 2 days a week. The advantage of being an independent consultant is that you can organize the time yourself and that fits in perfectly with the work at Courcenay, where Marloes is mainly concerned with "outside".
