About Eliza & Michael

The story of Maison La Lanterne started in 2021 when we found this charming house in the peaceful village of Bassigney. We decided to give up our city life and venture into the French country-side life close to the nature where we feel the most at home. The plan was to create an authentic holiday house where people can come to rest, recharge and discover the region.
At Maison La Lanterne every detail has a story. We are a couple with mixed origins, and we both come from creative fields so the eclectic style of the interior came naturally. The always evolving decoration and most of the furnitures are made or renovated by our hands.
We would like to share a piece of our world with our guests. As sustainability is a priority in our life, we try to encourage our guests to be as eco-friendly during their stay as possible. We can recommend you local producers, give instructions on how to use the compost and recycling, and using natural cleaning products in the house.Hope to meet you soon!
