We, Petra and Reinier discovered the cave dwellings of Gorafé on our trip through Spain. We fell in love instantly and bought an abandoned cave to turn it into a holiday home with no comparison. For 8 months we daily chopped 80 wheelbarrows of compressed clay from the mountain, shoveled it into wheelbarrows and lugged it down the mountain. What started as a miner's corridor sparsely lit by lamps hanging from nails has become a unique house that we are happy to show you and experience!
