About Jilles & Aaltje Dijkstra
Hello,
We are Jilles and Aaltje Dijkstra and have been living for several years in this special twin village of Paesens Moddergat on the Wadden Sea. We moved 15 kilometers to this beautiful village because we fell in love with the Wad.
Not a day goes by that we enjoy it here. When the former supermarket in the village came up for sale, we thought it was a challenge to turn it into a beautiful, pleasant holiday home. This was partly achieved with the help of the municipality and the inhabitants of the village. It has become a beautiful home, fully equipped and within walking distance of the Wad.
The sunsets are beautiful. You can enjoy walking and cycling here. You can shop and enjoy good food in Dokkum, or you can grab a fresh fish in the harbor of Lauwersoog.
You can make day trips to the Wadden Islands of Ameland and Schiermonnikoog.
