We have been able to stay in this beautiful house for almost 3 weeks. The location is beautiful, on the outskirts of Santa Catharina with unobstructed views, in the backyards, on nature! Here you can enjoy all the beauty of Curaçao's nature. We walked a lot in the nature reserve behind the house (Sint Jorisbaai). It says forbidden access but upon inquiry we were allowed to walk there. Beautiful area! We met the "wild" donkeys there and they came to have a look at us in the backyard a number of times, very nice! It is a fifteen minute drive to the touristy Jan Thiel, Mambo beach and Willemstad. Great to do for a lovely beach visit. For the big kids it's just a bit too far for the evening/night parties. We found the taxis expensive (€50 one way). Furthermore, we thought it was a wonderful place because it is quiet. Great pool and nice people at the resort. Everyone has a chat. A large supermarket at 6 min. So you can also drive groceries in the area. The house is fully equipped. Just keep in mind that there are no food and cleaning products available. We have had few problems with the WiFi. Mario and Marianne live at the resort and are great managers, are always available and offer help and info where necessary!
Danny and Suzan, thank you so much for renting your house. You are great landlords and the communication went well. I definitely recommend the house, especially if you don't want to stay in the busy part of Curaçao.
