Last summer we spent two wonderful weeks in the Crezant on Texel. We were very positively surprised about the equipment of the cottage. The children's toys, the spices and the equipment of the kitchen confirmed the image that this is not a "standard cottage" with minimal furnishings, but a holiday home as belonging to a family.
Positive points:
* Very complete house including toys for the kids
* Lovely large garden with a.o. Weber BBQ, large garden bench, garden chairs, picnic bench, parasol, petanque everything complete.
* Perhaps a bit underexposed in the advertisement, but the Crimea is a beautiful park! An amazing swimming pool with several slides and a wild water course. There is a nice gym (especially for a holiday fitness!) Petting zoo, playgrounds, bowling, restaurant, craft club etc.
* Indoor playground for rainy days
* Although it is located on the north side of the island, you can reach almost all fun activities within 20 minutes by car or less.
Tip: rent your (electric) bikes in advance to avoid disappointment.
Improvement:
* The cleaning was not done properly by the cleaning company. As a result, a somewhat lesser score in terms of hygiene.
* Not really an area for improvement but I wouldn't recommend going here with 6 adults. We were 2 adults and 2 children which is perfect. There are 6 full sleeping places, but the living room/kitchen is a bit too cramped if there were six of you. If you're out and about all day, that's no problem, but if it rains for a week, you'll be very close to each other. This is not something the landlord can do anything about, but it is good to be aware of when you book ;-)
We would love to come back again!

Unfortunately, it is indeed the case that the cleaning company has difficulty finding good staff (just like in the catering industry on Texel), so the cleaning has not met our requirements at that time. The crowds in the high season will also have played a role in this. We will make more adjustments to this in the next high season and, if necessary, roll up our sleeves ourselves to guarantee quality.
