This holiday home has (for us) pluses and minuses; It is located in a pleasant and basically quiet forest park in a nice region. However, the location of this house means that it is always dark in the house and that there is little view. If the house had been turned a quarter or half a turn on the plot, there would have been more daylight in the house and more views. Part of the interior is also dark, which we thought was a pity. The box spring downstairs and the couch were of good quality. Sturdy sofa and mattresses that are comfortable, with good bedding. A big plus.
In the kitchen we found a very old kettle, which gives off a lot of lime with every cup of tea you make with it. In the end, we used a pan for that. We were aware that we had to bring our own towels, kitchen linen would be provided. Unfortunately, towels were missing at the sinks in the toilets and there were no bath/shower mats either. So you stand with your wet feet on the tiled floor. Extra difficult because there is no shower wall or curtain and so everything gets very wet after showering, you then walk through the entire room because you have nowhere to go dry. So I bought extra towels and a bath mat myself. We enjoyed everything the Achterhoek offers, are satisfied with the communication and service of the owners, but would choose a lighter house with more views next time at this park.

Dear Mieke, thank you for your review. It's always nice to get good suggestions. As a result of your comments, we immediately purchased a new kettle and there are also towels on the toilet again. We had removed it because of corona. We think your shower mat is a good suggestion and will follow up on that as well. The main terrace of the house is indeed north-facing and therefore wonderfully cool in the summer, the view is on the border of the garden edge with varied vegetation which provides a lot of privacy, but indeed less view. On the South East side is a very large garden where you can of course also relax with the sun loungers. In addition, there is an adjoining garden of 500m2 where there are only trees and there is space in sun and shade. Glad the beds were appreciated! Regards, Pieter & Mirian
