We had a wonderful week. It is a nice house on the edge of the Schoorl dunes with space around it and a great base. Because it was mostly "dry/cloudy but not summery" we cycled a lot, not only in Schoorl dunes but we also went to Alkmaar, Hoorn and Enkhuizen. Everything was well arranged. Worth repeating!

We had a fantastic week and that was not in the least thanks to the holiday home for 4 people that we rented. The house was clean, spacious and fully equipped. Two bathrooms is very nice if you are with 4 adults. The house is located on a holiday park which is close to Schoorl.
We will definitely come back again.

Super nice cottage on the edge of a quiet cottage park, overlooking farmlands. Few minutes by bike from village with shops. Cottage is very comfortable and equipped with all the necessary facilities

When we arrived, I was shocked. A tour around the house gave a completely different picture than the photos on the site. The back terrace was completely polluted with the lowest point being 2 totally destroyed garden chairs tha...

When we arrived, I was shocked. A tour around the house gave a completely different picture than the photos on the site. The back terrace was completely polluted with the lowest point being 2 totally destroyed garden chairs that were lying in the mess like old dirt. The view from the back terrace was a lot less than in the photos on the website. The farmer behind it now uses his pasture as storage for agricultural equipment and tractors.
The terrace at the front is adjacent to the parking spaces of the houses, so not really attractive either. The existing parasol can only be placed in the tilted bend position and rotates with all winds.
Then inside. It was downright dirty there. Cobwebs everywhere and a sticky countertop and sticky shelves in the cabinets. A layer of mold on the underside of the shower cubicle. We didn't use the dishwasher because of the mold on the door. Coffee machine could not be used because lid was missing.
Above grubby flannel covers. A total of only 3 clothes hangers in the whole house.
In addition, no dryer available, was mentioned, and more annoyingly, no clothesline and drying rack.
Beds in the front bedroom creak enormously.
We called about the coffee machine, and a new one was immediately arranged, as well as 2 other garden chairs.
No complaints about the good television and the super fast internet.
We didn't call the owner anymore because we didn't feel like having people over all week. The weather was fantastic and so we saw a lot of the beautiful surroundings.
