Chalet

Chalet Maxima is located "Uuf dr Egga", in a very sunny location on the southern slope above Fiesch. It is a detached chalet, with its own garden. The private parking lot can be reached at the very end of the Obere Matte. Since this is a dead end, there is no through traffic.
The chalet is about 40 meters from the parking lot and is reached via a private footpath that also takes you to the village in a few minutes. The fact that you can not drive directly to the front door by car could be disadvantageous for guests with difficulty walking, but has as a great advantage that the location of the house, without traffic, is extremely quiet.

There is a phenomenal view of Ernen, the Ernergalen, Fiesch, the Breithorn and parts of the Rhone Valley from both the balcony and the garden seating area.

The chalet can accommodate 4 people. The kitchen and bathroom with toilet/shower were completely renovated in spring 2023. The kitchen is equipped with a glass ceramic hob with extractor hood and a microwave function is integrated into the oven. A Nespresso coffee machine is also available. In the chalet there are 2 floors:1st floor: small storage room in the entrance area, open kitchen with plenty of granite work surface, living-dining room dining table, corner sofa with TV with cable connection and streaming possibilities (Chromecast); 1 bedroom with 2-person box spring from Auping, bathroom with toilet/shower; Balcony on 2 sides with table and chairs:Basement: 1 bedroom with modern bunk bed for 2 people and sink in the room; 1 room with toilet and washing machine; Storeroom.

The basement has its own entrance door, but is also accessed via a hatch by the dining table (our children love the hatch and the own area that offers it!). Private garden with wooden table and wooden benches on the terrace, large parasol; Kettle grill and clothesline are available. Pets allowed!

Additional information

The Great Aletsch Glacier is a sight of archaic beauty. High up, at the Hohfluh, Moosfluh, Bettmerhorn and Eggishorn viewpoints, one becomes most clearly aware of the size and uniqueness of the Great Aletsch Glacier. One cannot escape the fascination of the huge ice flow, which stretches over a length of 20 km from its catchment area in the Jungfrau region (4000 m) down to the Massa Gorge, which is around 2500 m below.
The cross-country ski trails of the Bettmeralp and Riederalp routes fit perfectly into the snow-covered landscape of the Aletsch Arena. Whether classic or skating: On the sunny Valais plateau at over 2000 m above sea level. M. everyone will find their dream trail. But even down in the valley, nothing stands in the way of cross-country skiing thanks to the Fieschertal trail. Use of the three cross-country trails in the Aletsch Arena is free. Completely new dimensions open up for experienced cross-country skiers in nearby Goms. The region, with its 100 km of trails, is one of the largest cross-country skiing areas in Switzerland.
Snow-capped mountains, blue skies, warm sunshine and a breathtaking view of more than 40 four-thousanders and the largest glacier in the Alps: the ski area on the Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site offers everything a skier's and snowboarder's heart desires. Thanks to the altitude between 1845 and 2869 meters above sea level, perfect winter sports conditions are also guaranteed from December to April.
Crossing the 160-meter-long Aspi-Titter suspension bridge promises a rising adrenaline level while hiking. It leads in a spectacular way over the 120 meter deep Weisswasser Gorge. The location of the Aspi-Titter suspension bridge is already a highlight. It is located at the foot of the imposing Fiescher glacier and connects the Aletsch area with the Goms. Thanks to the bridge, there is also a continuous high-altitude hiking trail from the Gotthard region to Lower Valais.
Golfers an insider tip. It is located in the Aletsch Arena at an altitude of 2000 m and is therefore the highest 9-hole golf course in Europe
The golf course is located on a high plateau above the Rhone Valley, with a spectacular view of 40 four-thousanders such as the Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau and the world-famous Matterhorn. Thanks to the sunny, very mild climate, the lawn quality is excellent.
Without ever having heard anything about power places and power zones, the hiker might be surprised after a walk through the Binntal when he returns to the valley filled with joyful life energy. The widely branched Binntal in Valais is known for its wealth of minerals.
Leave your own tracks on a glacier, look carefully into the impressive crevasses and experience the intense blue of the eternal ice: A tour on the Great Aletsch Glacier is one of the absolute highlights of the summer holidays in the Aletsch Arena. From Fiesch, access is possible via Fiescheralp and Märjela. However, entering the glacier is only permitted with a mountain guide. Hiking up to the edge of the Great Aletsch Glacier is permitted for everyone and is a spectacle, especially for families with children.
The Brigerbad thermal baths are the largest open-air thermal baths in Switzerland. The longest slide in Europe, the hot grotto, outdoor and indoor pools as well as various steam baths and a sauna are waiting for you. Bathing fun guaranteed!
You drive up to the Tälligrat tunnel via a wide natural path. Once there, a fantastic view of the Fiescher Glacier awaits you. Crossing the tunnel takes you to the Märjela. Packed with glacier impressions, you then tackle the single trail towards Unners Tälli. Back at the Fiescheralp mountain station, a trail turns left towards Fiescherstafel and Stirnig. Follow this and ride down the single trail into the Fieschertal.
