Location: Just outside Champery; at 1200 m altitude, 150 meters above the village. On a very quiet spot on a dead ending road. The chalet is close by the village and very convenient in terms of sun and particularly the view. As one of the few of the village you will see not only the "Dents du Midi" and the "Dents Blanches", but you can also look far to the east towards the Rhone valley. The sun rises earlier and sets later compared to the village.

The chalet is good (and cheap) reachable by plane (Geneva on Easyjet, see www.easyjet.com) and / or by train directly to the center of Champery. By car from Utrecht is 920km. During the winter the road is always kept free of snow by the local snow plows. Both apartments and chalets have access to a private garage.

You enter the chalet in the middle floor at the rear (north side). Immediately after the door you will find the vestibule / cloakroom, which is more than enough space to store winter-, mountain- or ski boots, etc. for a group of 10 people. Immediately at your right you find the large living room (7 x 8 meters). This room has a TV / DVD corner, a 10-person dining table and a sitting area around the soapstone oven (a tiled stove of 3000 kg of soapstone, which radiates the heat during a long time. From the lounge you reach the balcony of 35 sqm located on the south and west sides of the chalet. Nex to the living you find the luxury kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, oven, 5-burner induction cooker and American fridge . Virtually all kitchen equipment is provided. You do not have to worry about cutlery, plates, tea towels and detergent. There are everyday kitchen products available, you can use them calmly, the intention is that you complement them so the next guest will also find them. In the kitchen under the window to the east you will find also a modest Swiss dining area.
Between living room and kitchen you find the toilet.
One level higher you find the loft. On the loft you will find the second TV / DVD with headphones, so you do not suffer from the noise when you sit in the living room, since the loft has an open connection with the living room.
There is a 2-seater sofa bed in case you are with 10 people. A computer is there available The loft also has a small balcony, a double bedroom, a bathroom with shower, toilet and bath.
Going downstairs from the living room you will find three bedrooms, each with a 2-bed and a wardrobe. Towels and bedline are available (towels for the sauna you have to take care for yourself). On this floor you find the second bathroom with toilet and double shower, so you can shower per room. You will also find the spacious sauna. Adjacent is the technical room where you find the washing machine. In the hall of the ground floor is the connecting door to the apartment. This is a double door with soundproofing.

The village of Champery (www.champery.ch) is at a hight of 1050 m in the canton of Valais, at the foot of the "Dents du Midi" and the Dents Blanches and is known as one of the oldest tourist destinations in Switzerland. The Portes du Soleil has much to offer for every type of skier. There are many easy runs with adjacent cafes, but you will also find the slopes of Pas de Chavanette - often simply called "Le Mur Suisse (Swiss Wall) This is one of the steepest down hills of the world.
