Chalet UVA is located on the edge of the buildings and has a huge balcony facing east, south and south-west and a terrace on the south. From the balcony and terrace offers stunning unobstructed views of the house's tranquil pastures and the opposite Swiss and Italian mountains.

In winter skiing, winter hiking and in summer hiking, climbing, glacier hiking, running, mountain biking and paragliding.About 100 meters from the chalet there is a free pedestrian lift that takes you directly to the center.The Aletsch Arena ski center can be reached with the ski lift 150 meters away Alpmatten can be easily reached on skis or snowboards. Ski in, ski direct to the chalet. In summer you can hike from the hut through the Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn UNESCO World Heritage Site. Even then, the free passenger lift will take you directly to the village center.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

The deposit is 50% of the rental amount and is payable directly after you have received the booking confirmation. The balance is payable 60 days before the start of the rental period.
Withdrawal from the rental agreement is possible under the following conditions. The deposit of 50% of the rent is owed in any case. If the cancellation period is less than 61 days, or if the arrival does not take place, the full rental price is owed. The tenant is allowed to propose a replacement tenant, who must be reasonable and solvent for the landlord. The replacement tenant takes over the contract under the existing conditions, tenant and replacement tenant are jointly liable for the rent. The calculation of the cancellation fee is based on the receipt of the notification by the agent or the booking office, in the case of (Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays) the next working day applies.

In the event of non-arrival or premature termination of the rental, the entire invoice amount remains owed. If a new tenant is found, repayment will only take place when the new tenant has made an equivalent payment. Any cancellation or rebooking will always be charged with CHF. 100.—charged for processingIn the event of early withdrawal from the rental agreement, the apartment will be released for new rental, if the property is re-rented and the new tenant has made his full payments, the amount paid will be refunded minus the processing fees. There will be no refund in case of early departure. We always recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance.

The Great Aletsch Glacier is a sight of archaic beauty. High up, at the Hohfluh, Moosfluh, Bettmerhorn and Eggishorn viewpoints, one becomes most clearly aware of the size and uniqueness of the Great Aletsch Glacier. One cannot escape the fascination of the huge ice flow, which stretches over a length of 20 km from its catchment area in the Jungfrau region (4000 m) down to the Massa Gorge, which is around 2500 m below.

The hike from the Belalp to the Riederalp leads over the spectacular Aletsch suspension bridge and offers an incomparable hiking experience at dizzy heights.
The 124 m long suspension bridge is one of the hiking highlights in the Aletsch region. At a height of 80 m, it leads directly in front of the glacier gate of the Great Aletsch Glacier over the Massa Gorge and thus connects the Belalp with the Riederalp. The profound view of the Massa Gorge guarantees thrills and is an impressive experience.

The Aletsch Forest, located directly on the largest glacier in the Alps, is a unique nature reserve that has been protected by Pro Natura since 1933. The associated nature conservation center is located in the Villa Cassel on the Riederfurka (Riederalp).

From the mountain station of the Bettmeralp cable car, you walk in an easterly direction, past the Maria zum Schnee chapel and typical Valais chalets, through the village and up to Bettmersee. You need about 15 minutes for the slightly uphill path to the idyllic mountain lake. The Bettmersee is a particularly beautiful spot on the sunny plateau, which you can walk around on the stroller-friendly hiking trail. The range of leisure activities is also impressive: benches invite you to linger, have a picnic or sunbathe. A jump into the cool water brings refreshment. The boat rental is open daily in good weather from mid-June to mid-October. Experience a round with the rowing or pedalo boat! The brave can try stand up paddling. There is also a natural paddling pool for children and a beach volleyball field as well as a fireplace.

An adrenaline-packed adventure for the whole family awaits you high up in the treetops of the Baschweri rope park on Bettmeralp in the Aletsch Arena. The highest rope park in Switzerland at almost 2000 m above sea level. M. includes a 200 meter long zip line and six different courses with different levels of difficulty. Young climbing fans from the age of 4 will also get their money's worth thanks to the children's course in the Aletsch Arena in Valais.

Snow-capped mountains, blue skies, warm sunshine and a breathtaking view of more than 40 four-thousanders and the largest glacier in the Alps: the ski area on the Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site offers everything a skier's and snowboarder's heart desires. Thanks to the altitude between 1845 and 2869 meters above sea level, perfect winter sports conditions are also guaranteed from December to April.

The ski area for families and connoisseurs

Golfers an insider tip. It is located in the Aletsch Arena at an altitude of 2000 m and is therefore the highest 9-hole golf course in Europe
The golf course is located on a high plateau above the Rhone Valley, with a spectacular view of 40 four-thousanders such as the Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau and the world-famous Matterhorn. Thanks to the sunny, very mild climate, the lawn quality is excellent.

Many paths lead to the goal in the Aletsch Arena. You are particularly fast with the mountain cart (route Blausee to valley station Moosfluh), a combination of go-kart and sled, or with the scooter (route Bettmeralp to Betten-Dorf) in the valley below. The descents promise pure action and are an adventure for the whole family. You can easily rent a mountain cart or scooter including a helmet on site.

Sports center Bachtla

It doesn't matter whether the weather in the Aletsch Arena in Valais is good or bad: the Gletschiland indoor playground on Bettmeralp guarantees endless fun and games for families and children (minimum age 4 years). Lots of exciting play equipment awaits you at the Gletschiland indoor playground. These include slides, for example a tube slide, and trampolines. And of course there is also a climbing frame. The Gletschiland indoor playground is located in the Bachtla sports center on Bettmeralp.
