You now have the option of renting two properties at the same time, where each has their own facilities and private, with a maximum of eight people. If you are with a larger group to celebrate a holiday in beautiful Suriname, then this is the ideal setting for you!
Welcome to Casa Walaba!
The brand new acquisition on the grounds of Villa Nieuw Amsterdam, Palmvillage in Commewijne, Suriname.
This holiday home, built entirely in authentic Surinamese Walaba wood, can accommodate four people and is located in the beautiful palm garden. During your stay you can use the lovely swimming pool of Villa Nieuw Amsterdam.
Layout: very spacious living room with modern designed five-seater corner sofa, coffee table, dresser and smart television, WiFi is available. Master bedroom with luxury box spring of 1.80 x 2.10. Second bedroom with a brand new, robust 'sailor' bunk bed of 0.90 x 1.90 and two closets. Between the two bedrooms is the spacious toilet.
New air conditioners have been installed in the bedrooms. Fresh air is supplied in the living room by means of grilles and the patio doors / windows.
You enter the living room from the spacious terrace overlooking the garden. Here is also the outdoor kitchen with all necessities and the dining table. From the master bedroom you enter the unique shielded outdoor shower with hot and cold running water via the wooden staircase.
You will be amazed by the height of the ceiling fitted in walaba shingles. This offers an unprecedented, spacious atmosphere that you will not find anywhere else. This holiday home was commissioned and designed by Koos de Vreede, the hospitable owner of Villa Nieuw Amsterdam. We are proud to say: built under architecture, and therefore simply unique in Suriname as a holiday home.

Suriname: a country full of possibilities, spotting dolphins on the Commewijne river, to Galibi where the large turtles come to lay their eggs. Furthermore, the many plantations on Commewijne and a visit to Paramaribo are highly recommended.
My philosophy is: Villa Nieuw Amsterdam and Casa Walaba wants to offer its guests a high degree of luxury and comfort in a casual, hospitable atmosphere. Enjoy The Little Things!
With tropical greetings,
Koos de Vreede.
