Villa Las Dalias is a beautiful villa (7 bedrooms) in typical Spanish traditional finca style, located on the Costa Tropical between La Herradura and Almuñecar and close to Nerja.De Villa is south west oriented with the sun in summer until 9 p.m., more than well equipped with every comfort, and located in a unique location just 600 m from Cotobro beach and 800 m from the vast Playa San Cristobal of Almuñécar. The view of the Mediterranean Sea, the beach of Cotobro and the marina Marina del Este is unique and wide, unobstructed by buildings. The house has an area of 334 m² inside, there is a 300 m² of terraces outside and a large, green garden with private swimming pool. The space, the privacy that goes with it and therefore also the calmness of the house is very much appreciated by all our guests.
We are particularly proud of our beautiful Mediterranean garden: a rustic high wall shields the garden from the road and makes the garden a kind of green oasis in the area, surrounded by colorful flowers, fragrant herbs and beautiful trees with tropical fruit (8 to 10 species) and some lovely terraces. Our Patio de los Olivos, dominated by a majestic 'Centenario' olive tree, is a place to completely forget the rest of the world.
The Patio de los Naranjos on the southeast side of the house has an area of 165 m² and is oriented to the east and south. The outdoor kitchen on this Patio is equipped with a BBQ and a large paella and wok pan. There are also two large tables to enjoy the meal outside either in the shade or in the sun, depending on your needs. Here you can have breakfast in the sun and with a view of the sea. Or you can enjoy the evening in the spacious lounge set, flanked by the orange trees that give the terrace its name. On the west side of the building, along the fruit trees, a real Barco de Espetos is at the disposal of our guests. Like a real 'espetero' you can fry sardines, fish or meat for family and friends on the open wood fire.
Along the private swimming pool there are 12 sunbeds available and a spacious lounge set for a cozy aperitif together. The villa is fully equipped for self-catering: the kitchen is excellently equipped, as is the bodega at pool level with American fridge. There is a traditional BBQ, a Weber gas BBQ and last but not least of course the Barco de Espetos.
The interior is entirely in finca style. In the cozy living room with fireplace, the Chesterfield salon fits perfectly. In what we call the 'Arcos' room there is a spacious dining room table with 15 wrought iron chairs so that you can eat inside with a view of the sea and the Marina del Este.
Everywhere in the villa and on the terraces there is WIFI. At the entrance level there are 4 bedrooms, 2 of which have a sea view and 2 bathrooms + an extra shower in the linen room. Each room has its own name and is decorated in its own style, to which the name of the room refers (Alhambra, Toro, Mariposa and Flamenco) At pool level there are 3 more bedrooms (Alpujarras, Mar and Paraiso Azul) - the latter is a family room with double bed and bunk beds - 2 bathrooms with shower and toilet and also a bar/bodega that gives direct access to the lounge set poolside. All bedrooms at pool level have sea views.
Las Dalias is THE ideal place for a family holiday, or holidays among friends up to 7 couples, The airports of Malaga and Granada are each just an hour's drive away. Almuñécar is a bustling coastal city in the summer, which is also 'alive' in the winter (bars, restaurants, shops, markets, etc.) and which is also the ideal base to visit the major cities of Granada (with the world-famous Alhambra), Malaga and also Almeria. The tourist coastal towns of Nerja, Motril and Salobreña are only a few kilometers away and the whole hinterland of the Costa Tropical, the Alpujarra, is a true paradise for hikers and (trained) cyclists. This coastal town is very popular with the Spaniards themselves, but every Fleming or Dutchman will immediately feel at home there.
On the spot you will be assisted by our cordial, Dutch-speaking hostess, who will be happy to show you around the region and assist you with advice and assistance. Costa Tropical has not stolen its name: the sun shines 320 days a year, there is a real micro-climate, where the average daily temperature, in winter, 18 deg C°. The high peaks of the Sierra Nevada offer a good buffer for the warm Sahara air that blows over from Morocco.
