Platja d'Aro is one of the most colorful tourist places on the Catalan coast. Famous for its wide range of leisure and shopping options, this city is visited by many tourists looking for fun and sun. The district of Castell d'Aro includes some interesting examples of medieval architecture, such as the Romanesque church of Santa Maria.
A few kilometers from Platja d'Aro is the village of s'Agaro. This place was built in the twenties by Rafael Masó and the industrialist Josep Ensesa to house famous personalities of the Catalan Bourgeoisie.
From Platja d'Aro you have a fantastic base to discover the hinterland.
Both large cities with a rich history and culture and small rural villages are worth visiting. The Pyrenees with an immense range of nature and adventure are not far away either.
