Our place is located just 40 minutes north of Barcelona and we offer an independent and detached guest house (the Casita) on our Finca. The Casita is located next to our main house on a plot of 25,000m2 making it wonderfully quiet and ideal for people who want to get away from the hustle and bustle, but still close to the beach and Barcelona. The site is located next to a golf course and in an exclusive residential area with spacious villas so that neighbors are at a considerable distance. Located at an altitude of about 250 meters, it offers spectacular panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea. We are only a few minutes away from 3 golf courses, 7 minutes (car) from the beach and port of Port Balis, direct access to natural parks for hiking and mountain biking (rental can be arranged, also electric)). We are a Dutch couple who live with our 3 dogs and 3 cats, who roam freely. We speak Dutch, English, Spanish, French and German.
The Casita is a guest house of 45m2 and has a living room with open kitchen fully equipped (oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, coffee maker & washing machine), double bed, bathroom, air conditioning & heating, Wi-Fi (fiber optic). Unfortunately, our site is not suitable for guests with limited mobility due to the hilly terrain.
We welcome our guests to walk around freely, with the exception of the private part of the main house. From the guesthouse you have direct access to the grounds and this takes you from the chicken coop, to the Bali bed, the swimming pool, the Tiki Bar, Jeux de Boule, hot tub, sauna and the vegetable garden. All these zones are shared with us and our guests. The pool is normally closed between November and the end of April - weather permitting. During this period, the wood-fired hot tub and sauna are available for a small fee for the wood, bathrobes etc.
We, Klaas & Jenny, are a Dutch couple who came to Spain about 10 years ago. Before we came to Spain we lived in the Netherlands, England, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Belgium, Germany and France. But the Mediterranean part of Spain has captured our hearts. So we ended up settling down here. We love nature, animals and tranquility, but also good cooking, food and wine. We live here with our 3 dogs, 3 cats and 8 chickens who provide fresh eggs every day... Although our dogs are friendly and loving, we recommend that you as a guest are comfortable with dogs, as they roam freely on the property and can greet you regularly.
Our house is located between two nearby villages (Sant Vicenç de Montalt and Sant Andreu de Llavaneres) but is located in a rather private area that is only accessible by a forest road (500 meters). We recommend that our guests have a vehicle. Free parking is available on or right next to the property.
The Mediterranean climate makes it possible to play golf all year round. There are 55 golf courses in Catalunya, three of which are just around the corner (few minutes drive like the Golf Club of Llavaneres). Many others, such as PGA Catalunya Golf and Wellness, within a 45 minute drive. The Costa Brava starts just 35km from the house. As we want to offer peace and quiet in a beautiful natural setting, parties or excessive noise that may be disturbing are not allowed. We prefer bookings from visitors who are looking for peace and quiet and want to enjoy beautiful excursions from here. We would like to point out that we cannot admit more people than indicated at the time of booking (maximum 2). This means that the use of the grounds, including the swimming pool, is only intended for the guests who have booked. And because we live in a protected natural park, open fires are not allowed.
When booking longer stays, we can of course make a special price on request.
