Villa by the sea, near Barcelona

Beach holiday, city trip or both? Detached villa (5 bedrooms) with swimming pool just 200m from the beach of Castelldefels with 5km long boulevard and 25 minutes from pza Catalunya!
This private house has been recently renovated (2017 interior and end of 2021 exterior) and is fully equipped. Parking is available on site and the accessibility is excellent: 200m from the beach, 10km to the airport and 22km to the center of Barcelona. With the nearby bus stop you can reach Barcelona for less than € 1.50/person within half an hour.

Layout/ facilities
The villa has five bedrooms (sleeps 10) on the first floor, as well as two bathrooms.
Three rooms are equipped with double beds (twice 1.80m x 2.00m and once 1.60m x 2.00m) and two rooms with two single beds each (0.90m x 2.00m) which can be linked together. In the two largest rooms there is also the possibility to place an extra cot or a baby bed (cot), which can be placed on request. On the first floor are two bathrooms, with sinks, toilet, shower, bidet and a bath. The three bedrooms at the front of the house have patio doors leading to a large balcony. The entire upper floor is air-conditioned.

On the ground floor there is an extra spacious toilet and a cozy living room with a semi-open kitchen. The terrace is accessible from the living room and kitchen through French doors. The kitchen is fully equipped, a large fridge / freezer and a 6 burner gas stove, a large oven and a microwave. Furthermore, there is a dishwasher and a washing machine (on request) as well as high speed internet (wifi) and a television with g chrome (access to netflix, amazon prime etc).

For those who prefer to cook outside, there is a large barbecue. On the terrace there is a large table where 10 people can eat, talk, play games or simply read the newspaper under the pergola. The pool is accessible from the terrace. In front of the house there is parking for two cars, something that is especially indispensable in the high season in Castelldefels. In addition, there is also a charging station for EVs (additional costs apply). However, a car is not strictly necessary, the beach is just a few minutes walking distance and the bus stop is nearby.

The entire house is at the disposal of the tenants, depending on the booking, three to five bedrooms can be used. The plot is fenced and therefore offers plenty of privacy.

The neighborhood
The beach of Castelldefels is a wide beach with fine yellow sand. In contrast to the city beach (Barceloneta), this beach is not at all touristy and has plenty of space and tranquility thanks to the long promenade and wide sandy strip – it is not for nothing that this beach has one of the highest scores. The beach is easy and safe to reach on foot.
There is excellent shower and toilet facilities on the boulevard and at the nearest beach bar beds and umbrellas can be rented if desired. The boulevard is 5 km long and offers a great opportunity for cycling, running or walking, there are also two nautical clubs where surf and sailing equipment can be rented.  Along the boulevard there are many nice beach bars where you can eat or have a drink. You can have breakfast around the corner among the locals, or you can get fresh bread and delicacies at the bakery. There are many good restaurants within walking distance of the house. The nearest supermarket is a mini market about 500 m away. In the center of Castelldefels there are several large supermarkets and shops. At 5km is the recently opened Viladecans The Style Outlet.
In addition, the centre of Barcelona offers plenty to explore - the city of the famous architect Gaudí is an attraction in itself! The combination of its inimitable works such as Park Güell and the unfinished Sagrada Familia, more than 35,000 shops and a rich nightlife make the Spanish city incredibly popular for a visit.

Transport
The transport from the airport to the house costs about 25 euros by taxi and takes about 15 min (10 km). It is also possible to get from the airport by bus or train, but then you have to change trains.
To get to Barcelona, the bus is a simple and cheap solution, the bus runs within 30 minutes to pza España and 40 minutes to pza Catalunya and stops 50 meters from the house. Another possibility is the train, Castelldefels has two stations both about 1.5 km from the house. Castelldefels is also within the Barcelona taxi zone – depending on traffic, you can reach pza Catalunya within 25 minutes.
