Casa La Fuente is located in the village of Lierta (55 houses, no through road) on the southern edge of the Pyrenees in the middle of nature at 670 m altitude. This tastefully furnished nature house is located at the entrance of the village. The terrace in front of the house has a bench (there is garden furniture) and opposite is a children's playground. Thanks to the large windows and its south-facing position, the spacious ground floor has wonderful light. There is the living room / open kitchen, on the first floor is a bedroom (double bed), a hall with seating and the bathroom. The third floor has two bedrooms (two single beds). In the immediate vicinity we find holm oaks, almond and olive groves, Mediterranean scrub vegetation such as thyme and rosemary and a river. From Lierta unpaved paths lead to the mountains that are ideal for short or long walks. An upstairs room overlooks the Pico Gratal (1,705 m). The central Spanish Pyrenees with high mountains, rock formations, deep gorges, rivers and forests are more than impressive. Famous nature reserves such as Riglos and Sierra de Guara are close by, while Jaca, Ordesa and the steppes of Los Monegros are within driving distance. The population density of the region is very low, scattered with small villages, but the roads are good. Guests receive a PDF with information about nature/cultural excursions in the area and a PDF with hiking routes in the Spanish Pyrenees and from Lierta and Sipán.
A visit to the old city centers, with famous cathedrals, of Huesca and Zaragoza (85 km) is well worth it. The Romanesque castle of Loarre (11th century) is 19 km away.
