Spectacular villa located in Canillas de Albaida, Costa del Sol, in a quiet area with beautiful views and a short drive from the beautiful white village of Cómpeta.

The villa is ideally suited for holidaymakers who are looking for a combination of peace, relaxation, exercise, culture and sea. Various challenging walks have been set out in the vicinity and experienced cyclists can indulge themselves in the mountains. But a day of nothing at all and relaxing by the pool is also possible! The coast is about 30 minutes by car, so you can easily go there for a beach day. The house is an hour's drive from Malaga airport. You will also find typical Spanish villages with nice restaurants and terraces in the immediate vicinity. Cómpeta is a 20-minute drive away. 

The house is located outside the built-up area, on a dirt road. This road has some bumps and potholes, but is passable with a normal car. A car with a little more ground clearance is recommended (but not necessarily necessary).

Accommodation

The villa, set on a plot of over 6000m2, has an area of approx. 184m2 consisting of a spacious living-dining room with sitting and dining area, a fully fitted kitchen with appliances (American fridge, 2 ovens, microwave, dishwasher, gas hob and extractor) and a utility room with washing machine, followed by a family bathroom with 2 generous double bedrooms and the master bedroom with bathroom en-suite.

Features

The property benefits from air conditioning in the living room and bedrooms, fitted wardrobes in the bedrooms and double glazed windows with tilt windows and mosquito nets. For the cooler winter months, there is central heating and a cosy fireplace. By applying multiple filters, the water from the tap is drinkable. Bottled water is not necessary.

Outside

The garden is partly tiled, partly gravelled and planted with shrubs, palm and olive trees. Through the automatic steel gate you get access to the plot and the parking area (large enough for several cars). There is a cozy Ibiza-style lounge area where you can enjoy the beautiful views. You look out on and over the mountains and in the distance you can see the sea. There is a spacious swimming pool (29m2) with sunbeds that can be placed in both the sun and the shade. The swimming pool can be heated in consultation, so swimming is also possible in the early and late season. In winter (December to about mid-March) the swimming pool is closed. Please note that the pool is not fenced so use is at your own risk.

The house is equipped with solar panels and a storage battery. This ensures a low absorption of external energy. The rental price includes 50Kwh of external energy per week. The additional consumption is charged at € 0.25 per Kwh. For bookings of less than a week, this is calculated pro rata. The settlement will be settled with the deposit.

After years of renting all kinds of accommodations in Andalusia, we took the step to own our own house in Spain.
We came across this property and it was love at first sight. What a wonderful place and what great views you have here! The location at the end of the unpaved, but easily passable road with any kind of car, offers privacy, peace and relaxation.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

Bookings in the winter period can be arranged for a longer period of time at an adjusted rate. This will be determined in consultation.

Cancellation by tenant

  • In case of cancellation up to 60 days before arrival: 30% of the rent due.
  • In case of cancellation within 60 to 30 days before arrival: 50% of the rent due.
  • In case of cancellation within 30 to 14 days before arrival: 75% of the rent due.
  • In case of less than 14 days before arrival or no-show, or early departure, no refund will be made.

Cancellations must be notified in writing.

Cancellation by landlord

If the Landlord is unable to make the property available due to force majeure (e.g. natural disaster, fire, government measures), the rent already paid will be refunded in full. Further liability is excluded.

  • Smoking is not allowed inside the house. If you smoke outside, don't throw the butts on the ground, but use an ashtray. Please note; Nature is very dry. Open fire is therefore prohibited.
  • Use water and energy consciously; Think about the environment. Water in Spain is scarce and don't leave the air conditioning running when you're not at home!
  • An accident can always happen. Report any damage or defects immediately so that we can fix it quickly.
  • If you want to wash towels or bed linen during your stay, you can use the washing machine for that. Make sure you don't wash the towels hotter than 40 degrees!
  • Leave the house in neat condition: tidy, dishes done and waste thrown away in the garbage containers on the road. Towels please in the laundry baskets. Beds removed and per set in a pillowcase.
