El Sol – Authentic casita with cave pool in Andalusian mountain village
Relax in Casita el Sol, an attractive holiday home in a typical Spanish mountain village in the mountains of Los Guajares. Here you will experience the real Andalusian life: peace, nature and a warm village feeling, far away from mass tourism.
There are two casitas on our small-scale site, located in a lush courtyard garden. In this patio you will find several seating areas and a special cave pool with jacuzzi jet streams. From the spacious roof terrace you can enjoy a barbecue at sunset and a beautiful view over the mountains.
The area invites you to walk and relax, while the beach (30 min.) and cities such as Granada and Málaga are about an hour's drive away.
The house
Casita El Sol is cozy, comfortable and decorated in the authentic Moorish and rustic style of the Alpujarras. The property is great for couples, friends or a small family (up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children).
On the ground floor you will find:
* a cozy open kitchen, fully equipped
* a dining area for eating together
Via the wide staircase you reach the first floor:
* cozy living room with tiled Moorish sitting area and comfortable (sleeping) corner sofa
* Smart TV for streaming
* fans for the warmer months
* wood stove and gas stove for the cooler months (wood and gas for a small extra charge)
Adjacent is the spacious bedroom with en-suite bathroom. You sleep here on a luxury box spring with high-quality mattresses (renewed in 2025). The king-size bed (180 x 200 cm) can be split into two single beds if desired.
Bed linen, towels, extra pillows and blankets are included. You bring your own beach and pool towels; Beach chairs are provided.
All windows are equipped with mosquito nets. The wooden interior and many details are handmade by a local carpenter, which gives the house a warm and authentic character.

Our accommodation "Casitas la Cueva" consists of two separate holiday homes:
* Casita El Sol (1 bedroom)
* Casita La Estrella (2 bedrooms)
Both cottages share the garden, the cave pool and the roof terrace. They can also be rented together, for example for family or friends who travel together but still want privacy.
