Casa La Serena and Casita de Toro are located on a plot of 10,000 m2 full of pine trees, olive trees and all kinds of exotic plants; It borders a beautiful nature reserve.
Casa La Serena
Is a lovely, typical Andalusian house, in a beautiful place, which has been decorated in a very personal way with a Moorish and vintage touch by the owners.
It is located 2 minutes by car from the cozy village of Competa and 25 minutes from the beach and is very good and quick to reach from the public road. It has a perfect location on the sun with plenty of shade and beautiful sunsets.
The house has a large living room with 2 sitting areas and a sofa, a fireplace and air conditioning. Due to the high altitude, it is always nice and cool. The kitchen has all the appliances you could wish for.
The dining room has an open connection to the kitchen and also has its own French doors to the first, raised terrace on which there is also a large dining table with 6 chairs.
In addition, there are 3 to 4 bedrooms with double and single beds, 3 bathrooms (2 of which are ensuite); depending on how many people the house will be rented for.
The tower room is, apart from being used as an extra bedroom, also used as a gym; complete with the necessary equipment. Because the rooms are high and 2 are at the rear, they are nice and cool even in the middle of summer. A fan can even provide extra coolness.
Outside it is a complete oasis; Lovely terra-cotta terraces, beautiful plants in beds and pots and a super swimming pool of 40 m2 and 2 meters deep and an amazing view of the mountains and the sea. To relax, there are wooden sunbeds and deck chairs. In front of the house is a seat with a low table.
Behind the house is an additional, very shaded terrace, also accessible through the house, with a large table with 6 chairs.

Casita del Toro
Next to Casa La Serena, at a sufficient distance is Casita del Toro; A smaller house for 2 people.
This cozy and attractive casita is fully furnished with an open kitchen, a living room, 1 bedroom with 2 connected 1 person beds, a bathroom and a private veranda with dining table, chairs and a lounge sofa and of course an outdoor garden. Air conditioning is available.
Casa La Serena & Casita del Toro are decorated in their own and attractive way and the house has many extras that make a stay extra pleasant; for example. A record player with old LPs in the dining room, TV in the living room, good wifi and all kinds of equipment in the kitchen; From dishwasher to micro wave, grill, Nespresso machine, gravy press and sandwich maker.
There is also a laundry room with washing machine and dryer in the house. An air conditioner in the dining room and in the living room can provide any extra cooling.
There is always a basic supply of food, herbs, water, etc. available so that you do not have to purchase everything yourself and you can get started right away.

Competa is a lovely Andalusian white village with 3500 inhabitants. Large enough to have all the basic amenities in the house; from various supermarkets, doctors and dentists to nice restaurants and pubs. The cozy square by the church with its terraces is a wonderful place to eat or have a drink at any time of the day.
In a radius of 10 km there are a number of small nice villages with again nice restaurants and squares.
Competa and its surroundings are known as an extensive area full of hiking opportunities; from small hikes to long trips. We recommend El Acebuchal; "the lost village" or a walk to Canillas de Albaida and Archez.
It is also a good place for cycling and mountain biking; possibly under supervision.
About a 25-minute drive away is the coast with its many long sandy beaches and small bays. From touristy to more intimate and therefore often a little more difficult to access.
Nearby there are many nice towns and villages: Nerja is a 35 minute drive as well as Frigliana, Almenucar can be reached within 50 minutes. Malaga city an hour and Granada 1 1/2 hours.
Casa La Serena & Casita del Toro are not rented to groups under the age of 25. It is not a party location. Pets are also not allowed.
We have renovated and furnished Casa La Serena & Casita del Toro with love and care. Because it is a house that is also used by us outside the rental period, we assume that people who rent it treat it as respectfully as we do ourselves.
