Manor / Castle

Château de Clémency max 8 pers.

Welcome
We look forward to welcoming you to this atypical place for a heartwarming and inspiring stay.
Château de Clémency, anno 1635, is a humble castle integrated in a small rural village.
The human scale of the building is the complete opposite of a feudal castle and gives you the feeling of arriving in a family home. A place where you can relax with family or friends.
The 4 rooms are all decorated in a different theme. And it is not a simple decoration... It is a total composition, based on a contemporary concept that gives you the feeling of 'submerging' in the atmosphere and ambiance of the era. All the furniture is authentic antique, everything is custom made...
Our passion for collecting is expressed in hundreds of paintings, books and decorative elements hunted all over the world.

Rent the whole castle:

"Sherlock's Suite"
This space, dedicated to Sherlock Holmes, will plunge you into the delirium of genius…
The living room called "Sherlock & Watson" closely resembles a cabinet of curiosities from the second half of the 19th century.
The room with its atypical copper "island bed" is reminiscent of the adventures of Jules Verne.
Located in the tower of the castle, the bathroom offers you an unusual space with its sink 'in the wall' and the amazing arrangement of the objects.

Private space:
With an area of 47 m², "Sherlock" is composed as follows:
Private hall called "The Suspects" with the historic cloakroom
Bedroom with double bed, library
Dressing room
Living room 'closet de curiosités'
Bathroom with an 'Italian' shower, 'wall washbasin' and toilet

"Peggies"
This suite is located on the ground floor and immerses you in the atmosphere of the
Belle Epoque. In this suite, the murals by painter Peggy Dihé will sweep you into a whirlwind of colors and details inspired by this time with some contemporary invaders.
This exuberant composition is enhanced by mirrors in the style of an old-fashioned 'brasserie', spectacular curtains and antique furniture...
The adjoining private bathroom interprets the 'bright and luminous' antique style of the bathroom in a contemporary way.
The dressing with its 'grand miroir' and the 'desk' with a view of the garden complete this beautiful suite.

Private space:
With an area of 37 m², “Peggy's” is composed as follows:
Bedroom with a double bed and a sitting area
Dressing and office space
Bathroom with 'Italian' shower, antique sink, toilet and storage space

"Roaring 20"
This '20 suite immerses you in the 'modern' atmosphere of the first half of the 20th century. The room with its brushed aluminum floor and the historical technical elements are an integral part of the decor and recall the machines, cars, liners of the past and take you to the "golden age of travel".
The bathroom, inspired by a painting by Caspar David Friedrich, the "Sea of Ice", is a nod to the icebergs that marked the end of the famous Titanic.
Sitting in the original 'deckchair' in front of the castle window, it is the perfect place for reflection and more.

Private space:
With an area of 30 m², "Les années 20" is composed as follows:
Sleeping area with a double bed
'Captain's' desk and sitting area
'Sea of Ice' bathroom with 'Italian' shower, sink and toilet

"tribute"
The "Tribute" pays tribute to the workers of the steel industry who created the wealth of Luxembourg. When you enter the hall / private entrance, you discover a very bright room that takes its main assets from the high ceilings and the imposing castle windows.
The bathroom impresses with its atypical atmosphere. The use of black polished concrete is reminiscent of the underground mining work.
The composition of materials and the lighting concept create an unforgettable atmosphere.

Private space:
With an area of 25 m², “Tribute” is composed as follows:
Entrance with a wardrobe
Room with a double bed, wardrobe and desk
Bathroom 'in the mine' with its 'Italian' shower, sink and toilet

Each room has its own
coffee and tea facilities
TV
Bluetooth radio box

Shared spaces:
“Bei der Giedel”
Kitchen (fully equipped) with bar
Utility room with dishwasher
Dining/Meeting/Library Area

Hall and a historic staircase with the portrait gallery
'Welcome' terrace under the old trees in front of the castle
'Hidden' terrace with a water feature with wooden floor

Additional information

Château de Clémency has 4 atypical rooms. Each can be booked separately or rent the entire castle with a group of friends or your family. We are ready to give you an unforgettable stay
Clémency is located just across the Belgian border. 20 minutes from the historic city of Luxembourg. Esch-sur-Alzette with its beautiful lakes is also 20 minutes away. Hiking in the Müllertal? That is also easy to achieve. Did you know? * All public transport in Luxembourg is free? * Luxembourg City is Unesco World Heritage? * Culinary enjoyment is important for the Luxembourger? Both during lunch and dinner * There is a special kind of serenity and people are generally remarkably friendly...
There is much to do in Luxembourg. From endless walks, beautiful cycling routes to delicious food. The Luxembourger is committed to making you feel completely at home. It is no longer a 'country' that you tear through on your way to your holiday destination in Switzerland, Italy or France, but very much worth spending a few days. In 2022, Esch sur Alzette and 18 other municipalities will be the European Capital of Culture. Together with France. Esch 2022. Full of cultural events. The proposed projects concern art, music, dance, architecture, design and literature, as well as land and heritage. Or visit the museums: the National Museum of the Resistance or the large cultural center 'Kultuurfabrik' and the neo-Gothic St. Joseph's Church.
