Let me introduce ourselves: we are Rita and Jo, originally from Indonesia and Jo from the Netherlands, Rita has been living in the Netherlands since she was 8, we got married in 2002 and moved to Belgium, just across the border, because a house with a garden was still affordable there. We have traveled a lot, but we always came back to Jamaica. In 2012 we decided to see if we could buy a house in Jamaica, and as you can see, we succeeded.
First of all, we have a room with bathroom on the left side of our house, and on the right side two more rooms with shared bathroom that we do not use ourselves.
So we decided to offer that section to guests who want to discover the real Jamaica.
Of course it helps to pay the costs, but we also really like to have guests and tell them everything about our island and we have already made friends from it, so it can't be more beautiful.
Breakfast is provided by us but our guests are also allowed to use the kitchen, as well as the living room with TV and wifi. Our house has a large garden with many tropical flowers and plants.
We are always there from November to the end of April, but it is possible to book all year round, if we are not there our Jamaican friend Diane takes care of the guests and a little further lives Bramma, a Fleming who shows tourists around.
We are still here until June 24 and then we go to Europe to visit friends and family, from November 1 we are here again until the end of March, in winter it is best here for Europeans, not too hot but nice 27-28 degrees. When we are here we like to show our guests the most beautiful places on the island, and there are many.
