The farm consists of 4 independent houses, 3 of which are for rent (max 2 pers) and one is permanently inhabited by ourselves. I am Dutch and have lived in Tuscany for 20 years. My husband is Italian and we have 2 sons who have left home.

Our house is quiet and has a breathtaking view. In peace you are centrally located and ten minutes away from the town of Empoli and the important connecting roads. There are regular train connections from Empoli station to Firenze, Pisa and Siena.

There is WIFI, a private swimming pool and a pizza oven. All the peace and space for a wonderful holiday

In 1990 I went to Florence for my studies, and since then after traveling back and forth between the Netherlands and Tuscany, 25 years ago it has become definitive Tuscany. With my Italian husband we live in the hills of Vinci on a small olive farm, which we have completely renovated. We hope to let you enjoy the positive aspects of local Italian life during your stay in this very special place. My husband is a fan of old-time motorcycles.

Explanation of prices

  • Minimum stay: 3 nights, EVERY day 'changeover day'
  • Bed, bath and kitchen linen, gas, electricity and water: everything INCLUDES except the air conditioning.
  • Linen is changed once a week
  • If necessary, bring your own beach/swimming towels
  • AIR CONDITIONING is available in the bedroom, you can decide upon arrival whether you want to use it for €70 per week . In this case, pay on site.
  • After booking we ask for a 25% deposit, the rest can be transferred just before or upon arrival
  • Cancellation: the deposit will be refunded up to 2 months before the arrival date.

Podere le Tortore consists of a kitchen on the ground floor and a bedroom and bathroom on the 1st floor and is situated directly on the pool and garden, see photos in the 'Photos' for further description.
The Corner house
In the distance is the town of San Miniato to see, and on clear days even the port of Livorno to observe. Want to have a day according to sea, then that can be reached in an hour. Vitolini - Vinci is the 'Montalbano' ridge where plenty can walk. If you have an active vakentie want, it is ideal for spring and autumn!
Vista
A visit to Vinci, and the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci, is a must. Furthermore, Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca and quickly and easily reached by train from Empoli. The station is reachable in 10 minutes. Even the lesser known places like Carmignano, Pistoia, and Montespertoli worth a trip. During the summer festivals in many small villages in the town square, where the evening at long tables with local specialties served worden.We can gladly give suggestions and tips.

Airports Florence 30 mins, Pisa 45 mins. Empoli Station (recommended for cities visit) at 10 km.

* Within 7 days of receipt of our confirmation of your reservation request you have 25% of the total rent down payment. Only after we have received your deposit, your reservation is complete.

Access to VISTA A VINCI 2. The private garden is adjacent to the olive grove. There is sun on the terrace until midday and all day on the garden area; so you have shade or sun according to your needs. The wide view to the west is on the other side, from the large characteristic 'house of cards' windows.

Vinci, the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci, the small but well kept museum is worth visiting, there is a fine collection of invented by him tools such as the bicycle, wetsuit and airplane. Climb the tower for the best view. A walk of half an hour into the hills, takes you through olive groves to his birthplace.
