In the hills of central Tuscany, near the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci, our recently renovated farmhouse is located in the middle of olive groves. An oasis of peace with beautiful views and an ideal base for trips to Firenze, Pisa, Lucca and Siena. The apartment Le Tortore 2 is on the ground floor of the main building, everything is on the ground floor and directly on the lawn with its own patio where it is also nice in the shade.

In 1990 I went to Florence for my studies, and since then, after traveling back and forth between the Netherlands and Tuscany, it has definitely become Tuscany. With my Italian husband we live in the hills of Vinci on an olive farm, which we have completely renovated and equipped with all conveniences. We hope to let you enjoy the local Italian life in this very special place during your stay. Oh yes, my husband Nicola is a fan of old-time motorcycles.

Since 1993 I live and work in Tuscany. In 2000 I with my Italian husband this lapse podere purchased a ruin with 10 ha. olive groves and woods. After years of growing and many headaches finally in 2006 the house was habitable, and we went there with our 2 zoons.Het building is so large that 3 independent dwellings are brought under: our house in the left half, a small corner of the right (also for rent via Micazu) and a large house in the middle, with the bottom floor for rent. See the photo pages for the classification of this holiday.
Introductions
Who comes to Tuscany, is a complete vacation: art, culture and nature. Our house is a perfect starting point for his. The location is central to all cities: Firenze 3o min, 40 min Pisa, Lucca and Siena 60 mins, especially for trips to Florence and Pisa, it is advisable to go by train, there is a direct connection from Empoli. We propose a private parking available to our guests at the station Empoli.Het Podere lies midway between the olive groves and a small wandelroute.In hour you are on the coast for a day at sea.
Cities
Nearby are numerous small villages, each worth a visit. First is of course Vinci, the birthplace of> Leonardo da VINCIOp the hillside of Montalbano are many beautiful historic villas built by the Medici family fiorentijnse bankers. This area was the "Barco Reale": their private hunting ground. Some of these villas are open for the summer months publiek.In almost in every village a village festival held here is all about the delicious food: long tables in the village square, where your evening for little, simple but delicious can eten.Zoals already indicated in the brief description, you can hike and mountain biking. There are also special routes around the Montalbano. For fans of these activities are spring and autumn the ideal naturlijk periodes.In the vicinity are 2 golf courses, 1 in Montelupo and 1 new in Vinci.

Access to VISTA A VINCI 2. The private garden is adjacent to the olive grove. There is sun on the terrace until midday and all day on the garden area; so you have shade or sun according to your needs. The wide view to the west is on the other side, from the large characteristic 'house of cards' windows.

Vinci, the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci, the small but well kept museum is worth visiting, there is a fine collection of invented by him tools such as the bicycle, wetsuit and airplane. Climb the tower for the best view. A walk of half an hour into the hills, takes you through olive groves to his birthplace.
