Holiday house

Casa SerenVigna is two holiday homes in one. Ambra Sole is the more spacious apartment on the ground floor (4 to max. 6 people). The smaller Marina Sole apartment is located on the first floor (2/3 persons).

Casa SerenVigna is a quiet place with lots of privacy that meets many wishes. It is a holiday home where a family with children and grandparents or two couples with or without children will feel comfortable. There is plenty of room for everyone and something for everyone: various sun and sun/shade terraces, cool spots under the large tree in the garden or on the terrace next to the swimming pool to keep an eye on the children. The fence and the private swimming pool on legs (safe for two- and four-legged friends!) ensure that you can enjoy your stay undisturbed.

Casa SerenVigna is fully furnished. The following applies to the entire house: air conditioning adjustable per room (kitchens, bedrooms, living rooms), heating, WiFi, laundry room with washing machine and dryer, cleaning utensils, vacuum cleaner.

In Ambra Sole you will find:
  • A spacious and fully equipped kitchen (including 4-burner gas stove, dishwasher, oven, large-sized refrigerator with freezer compartment), pan set, plates, serving bowls, wine glasses, lemonade glasses, tea and coffee mugs, egg cups, cutlery +6 persons, mixer, toaster , coffee maker, bialetti…,
  • A dining room with a large table (6 persons);
  • A living room with a 3-person sofa (also a 2-person sofa bed 1m40 x 2m), wood stove, TV, DVD player, small selection of DVDs and books (NL, FR, EN), stereo (CD, radio, MP3, cassette);
  • Two bedrooms (2 single beds 80cm length 2m + double bed 1m40 x 1m90);
  • A bathroom with toilet, bidet and shower;
  • An individual entrance and gated private parking for 2 cars.
In Marina Sole you will find:
  • A kitchen: dishwasher, 4-burner gas stove, oven and small refrigerator with freezer compartment, pan set, plates, serving bowls, wine glasses, lemonade glasses, tea and coffee mugs, egg cups, cutlery for 4 people, mixer, bialetti (Italian coffee maker);
  • One bedroom: 2 x single mattresses (80 x 1m90, can be placed separately or together), clothes rack;
  • Large terrace with garden furniture (2 persons);
  • A bathroom with walk-in shower, sink, toilet and bidet;
  • A sitting area with TV, radio/CD/MP3.
The holiday home is located in a rural area, which means that peace and quiet are guaranteed. It is located just above the village of Partigliano. Valdottavo (valley) is also close by (cafes, pizzeria, pharmacy, hairdresser, launderette, small supermarkets and delicatessens, all 10' by car). Lucca (20') and other destinations such as Pisa (45'), Viareggio, Livorno, Cinque Terre and the Versilia coast are nearby (depending on the above destinations, travel times vary from 55 to 90'). For destinations such as Florence, Siena, Pitigliano, Sorano and Sovana, etc. you prefer to take a whole day. Our personal (*CONTENT HIDDEN*) 'Casa Botori WordPress' contains many tips for day trips with or without children, sights and nice towns, walks, museums and good restaurants nearby. You can also email us for a tailor-made program. We would like to, because we are fans of our region and know many nice and surprising places!

The starting point of our search for a second home address was to enjoy everything Italy has to offer with our dogs. We sought out the hills because of the beautiful views of the slightly rougher landscape that is so typical for northern Tuscany. All this without wanting to make concessions in terms of accessibility to the many assets that cultural and touristic Tuscany has to offer.

Additional information

A visit to the many picturesque villages in the immediate vicinity of Partigliano is definitely worth planning a day trip. From Casa Botori you drive in a few minutes to the next village Fondagno, which you have seen completely if you allow 15 minutes. From Fondagno it is about 25 minutes to Pescaglia. The center with its winding, narrow and often steep streets and alleys is an experience and definitely worth a visit. After your walk you can take a short break in the typical alimentari (grocery shop), also a village bar behind the town hall. Continue to the Località Pascoso. If you are hungry, take a seat in the Hotel-Ristorante Carnicelli's cozy dining room. Grandmother is behind the stove here and almost all the ingredients she uses come from her own garden. Here you can taste the typical, simple but oh so delicious Tuscan cuisine! From there continue to Fabbriche di Vergemoli. Here too it is worth taking a walk through the alleys towards the village square. Then continue via Gallicano to Barga and be sure to see the San Cristoforo Cathedral, the romantic streets, the remains of ancient fortifications, the Teatro dei Differenti, the Palazzo Pretorio (now the City Museum), Palazzo Pancrazi (now the City Hall), Palazzo Angeli and the many small boutiques, cafes and restaurants. Finally, your drive will take you to Castiglione di Garfagnana where the castle and impressive defensive walls are worth admiring. The hike is worth it for the spectacular view of the village and the surrounding plains and mountain ranges alone. The outward journey takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes excluding the time you allocate for the visits. The return journey via Fornaci di Barga and Borgo a Mozzano takes about 45 minutes. https://casabotorinl.wordpress.com/farniente-wandeln-en-restaurants/
Lucca can be reached in less than half an hour. Ample tourist parking spaces just outside the center are well signposted and we can also give tips on where to park for free (free and only a 5-minute walk from the Santa Maria city gate). The unique thing about Lucca is the city wall that surrounds the town (1.5 hours walk, about 6 km) and where you can go for a walk or a bike ride undisturbed. The Lucchesi themselves love nothing more! This walk also gives you an impression of the squares, towers (the one with the trees on top, Torre Guindici, you can also visit), churches and other places of interest that you can visit. A great introduction to what Lucca has to offer. For teenagers: Museo della Tortura (translation: the torture museum)....with guillotines and other terrible equipment. According to our guests who went there with their teenagers, it seems to be very educational as well as horrifying. Link: http://www.torturemuseum.it/musei-permanenti/lucca/. That way, those history lessons are really a bit different!
Tired of the pool, want to go to the beach? No problem! Versilia, the famous Tuscan coastal area, is on your doorstep. The entire Tuscan coastline is an elongated beach. Some beaches are very popular and others a little less well known, but they are generally highly prized for the fine sand, the pine trees that line the beach and the sunny climate that is not too hot because of the pleasant breeze. Italian beaches are not public by the way: you have to pay almost everywhere for a spot on the beach (a beach chair and an umbrella are included in the price). "Unattended" beaches are rare and often unguarded, but we do know a few spots, so don't hesitate to ask! Some popular seaside resorts: Lido di Camaiore (at +/- 50 min.) is the small seaside resort in Camaiore between Viareggio and Marina di Pietrasanta. It is a popular place with many shops and restaurants. Viareggio (54 min), harbor and coastal town with 4 free beaches located in the Regional Natural Park. Many Italians spend their holidays here themselves. Marina di Pietrasanta (58 min) is the seaside resort of Pietrasanta and has some of the best beaches in the area which are rarely overcrowded (including a free beach). Forte dei Marmi (59 min) is a must for anyone who likes to be around the glamorous rich and artists and want a day of 'bling bling'. Fiumaretta di Ameglia and Ameglia are a little further north (1h10) and belong to the province of Liguria. At the mouth of the Magra you will find picturesque beaches and harbors and charming, undiscovered restaurants such as Il Pilota in Fiumaretta. Recommended!
