Villa Cato
Villa Cato is an elegant country retreat amidst the rolling hills of the province of Pisa, in the municipality of Montecatini Val di Cecina. Located on the slope of the medieval village of Castello di Querceto, this beautifully restored farmhouse enjoys an impressive location with a wide view that stretches from the castle of Querceto to the picturesque hamlet of Sassa – villages that perfectly embody the charm of the Tuscan regions of Val di Cecina and Val di Cornia.
The estate covers about 45 hectares of land, much of which is dedicated to the cultivation of hazelnuts – a special feature in Tuscany. The hazelnut, or nocciola, has become the symbol of the estate and gives the villa its unique character.
With its southern and panoramic exposure, Villa Cato offers guests an atmosphere of tranquility and beauty. The outdoor areas are designed for relaxation and socialising: a large pergola with dining area and barbecue area with wood-burning oven, an infinity pool (10 x 5 m; depth 1.4 m) overlooking the valley and fenced for the safety of children, a small gym and a lovely terrace with benches around a cosy fire pit – perfect for enjoying the sunset over the Tuscan hills.
The sea is only 20 km away, which ensures a mild climate and gentle breezes even on the hottest summer days. Renovated in 2023, the property combines the timeless appeal of traditional Tuscan materials – stone, terracotta, travertine and vaulted ceilings – with modern comforts such as full Wi-Fi coverage, air conditioning and a chromotherapy shower. Every detail has been designed to enhance the guest experience and provide an authentic yet sophisticated Tuscan stay.

The villa is reached via a private dirt road of about 500 meters, bordered by hazel trees and secured with a coded gate. The shaded parking lot can accommodate 3-4 cars (height 200-210 cm).
Ground floor:
Entrance, spacious living room with fireplace and TV corner, dining area and open kitchen.
Three double bedrooms, each with its own shower room; One bedroom has its own sitting area and one bathroom is fully equipped for disabled guests.
First floor:
Living room with double sofa bed and two-seater sofa, TV and access to the garden via an external staircase.
Three additional bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms: two with a double bed and one with two single beds. Extra beds (up to 6) are available for €150 per bed, including bed linen and towels.
