The villa has been restored in the typical style of the Garfagnana region (using the original building materials: terracotta, wood, stone) and furnished with antique furniture according to local tradition.
Its location at an altitude of about 550 meters ensures a pleasant climate in summer (the temperature at night almost always does not exceed 18°C).
The property is an excellent destination for a relaxing holiday and visiting the surroundings of Garfagnana with its charming villages, beautiful driving routes, hiking and hiking tours (we recommend the Orecchiella Natural Park) and other outdoor activities. It is also a good base for visiting Pisa, Lucca and a day at the sea (the Versilia Riviera is 60 km away). The nearest town is Castelnuovo di Garfagnana (9 km away) with many restaurants, cafes, bars, shops, supermarkets and a weekly open-air market on Thursdays.
The villa features a 9x5 meter private swimming pool (the pool area is fenced). There are two covered terraces on the first and second floors of the building, from where you can enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.
There are a total of 3 bedrooms (one on the ground floor and two on the first floor). A total of 8 sleeping places. Baby cot and high chair available on request. The main kitchen and dining room are located on the first floor of the building.There is also a small kitchenette on the ground floor.
Of course, we recommend eating on the porch and enjoying the beautiful panoramic view.
A supermarket and restaurant can be found in the village of Villa Collemandina, 3 km from the villa. More shops and restaurants can be found in Castiglione di Garfagnana (4 km away) and Castelnuovo di Garfagnana (12 km). There is also a large supermarket (open daily from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm and on Sundays from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm) near Gallicano (21 km from the villa).
