For rent: fantastic detached house (semi-detached house) with a lovely garden and private parking space (the other half can also be rented, so that you can spend your holiday with friends/family, together but still separately).

The location of our house faces south on the edge of a forest area of 2.6 hectares. directly on Lake Maggiore with a rock wall and afforestation on the north side is unique.

You can therefore stay on our terrace almost all year round because the temperature is a few degrees higher than the surrounding area. Do you want to swim? You can swim freely at any time of the day via our private exit to the Lago.

3 km to the north is the old town of Cannobio with a beautifully landscaped boulevard and many cozy restaurants. 3 km to the south is Cannero Riviera with a beautiful boulevard and restaurants.

There are also many opportunities for walking. For example, the old Roman road from the 13th century over the mountains: 'Strada Romagna'. The start is the stairs diagonally opposite Hotel del Lago. At the top of the stairs you can turn left to Cannero Riviera (approx. 4 km) with beautiful views. Turn right and the road leads to Cannobio (approx. 4.5 km).
What is also recommended is a boat trip (from Cannobio) to the Boromeo Islands near Stresa. A lovely bit of sailing and then a visit to Isola Bella and/or Isola Pescatori with palaces and beautiful gardens.

From Brissago just across the border nrd.waards you can also take a boat trip to Isola Brissago with a unique tropical garden. From there you can sail to Ascona and Locarno in Switzerland. Internationally known for the jazz festival (Ascona) and the film festival (Locarno).

Verbania is a large pleasant town 25 km to the south. There are also large supermarkets such as LIDL and COOP.

From Carmine it is more than an hour's drive to Como on Lake Como. Luxury city, beautifully situated
on the lake with beautiful shops and nice restaurants.

It is also only about a 1.5 hour drive from Carmine to the metropolis of Milan.

The desire to have a house in Italy started in 2000, when we came into possession of one with friends. forest area on the Lago Maggiore incl. a strip of land directly on the Lago. On it were a number of Rusticos (from the 13th century). We were allowed to rebuild this in Italian style. Making a plan, obtaining the permits took 4 years. Preparing for construction, building the house and cutting out the road 2 years. After that it's always fun in Carmine.

Explanation of prices

The rental periods run from Saturday afternoon 4:00 PM to the following Saturday 11:00 AM. The keys can be found in a wall safe (B) on the inside of the wall along the street. In the wall safe outside you will find the key to the house door, the key to the padlock of the entrance gate and the key to the door to the Lago (on the other side of the street) and the key to the shed. Would you like to put the keys back in the safe upon departure and turn away the code? Thanks!
