Villa Caprino
This brand new villa is located exactly on the border of the National Park del Cilento, Vallo di Diano ed Alburni and the villa has a breathtaking view of the Golfo di Policastro and the beautiful, mountainous hinterland. The National Park, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, offers unspoiled nature with unique flora and fauna and unprecedented tranquility. Villa Caprino has a living area of 150 m2 and is located on 6500 m2 of private land with many centuries-old olive trees. On the entrance side rises the Monte Bulgheria, with a height of 1225 meters the highest mountain in the area. The area is a real hiking paradise between goats and sheep herds, skipped by mass tourism!
The name of the villa is taken from the region: Contrada Caprino (goat cheese or goat stable). The authenticity of the environment is illustrated by the fact that a herd of the beautiful, long-haired Cilentanian goat breed passes twice a day under the guidance of the goat herder Domenico and his 9 dogs.
The village of Bosco, dating from the Middle Ages, is an 8-minute walk from the villa. You will find a well-equipped supermarket, two bars, a post office and an excellent pizzeria / ristorante. The village is also known for the living and working place of the renowned painter José Ortega. A museum about him has recently been opened.
Villa Caprino is located a short distance from the beautiful sandy beaches of Marina di Camerota - Palinuro and the Costa della Masseta, one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in Italy.
From the picturesque coastal town of Scario you can admire this unique coast by boat and if you wish, you will be dropped off (and picked up) on one of the virgin beaches.
Villa Caprino is a charming, Mediterranean and minimalist style villa, which with its clean lines contrasts strongly with the very rugged, natural surroundings.
The décor is light and modern, interspersed with authentic and antique elements such as the old chestnut wooden doors, the antique olive jars and the vintage lamps.
The house has 9 sleeping places. On the ground floor there are 3, double bedrooms each with dazzling views of the pool and the azure blue Mediterranean Sea. In clear weather you can see the Stromboli near Sicily. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and a spacious sliding door provides access to the spacious terrace and swimming pool. All bathrooms have a spacious shower, a bidet, a toilet and a sink. Also on the ground floor you will find the spacious living room with open kitchen. The living room has a wood stove and the kitchen is equipped with all modern conveniences, such as a microwave, an oven, a dishwasher and a spacious fridge and freezer.
In the "semi interrato" you will find a spacious guest house with its own terrace, entrance and bathroom. This room has 3 sleeping accommodations.
The large swimming pool is 12 by 4 meters and is surrounded by terraces. The pool is heated so that you can enjoy it even in the cooler seasons, but is not available from November 1st to May 1st.
The residence is equipped with heating and air conditioning.
