Our casa is very centrally located in Puglia, just outside the nice town of San Vito dei Normanni. It is located in a residential area. If you are looking for peace and quiet, you have come to the right place. Our house is located on a private road so there is no traffic passing by. In addition to 2 Italian neighbors, we have a lot of farmlands with fruit and olive trees at the front and next to the house.
And if you want to look for the hustle and bustle, you can reach the town in about 5 minutes by car (+/- 5 km)
The beaches (20 minutes away) are alternating between rocks and sandy beaches. There are also plenty of Beach clubs / lidos where you can rent beach beds and an umbrella. But there are also plenty of free beaches that are also crowded by Italians during the hot days. We have included great tips about the beaches on the Adriatic and Ionian Sea in the welcome folder.
Our casa is fully equipped. 3 bedrooms, 2 with double beds and 1 with a French bed.
All bedrooms have their own air conditioning.
A spacious living room, a full living/kitchen area with fireplace and a large bathroom. We will expand and renovate a second bathroom at a later date. There is a large air conditioning in the hall with the adjoining bedrooms. Each bedroom also has its own air conditioning with remote control. The air conditioners can both cool and heat. There is also a wood stove in the hallway. This makes this house not only suitable for the summer period but also in the colder months.
Outside it is very spacious. We have a very spacious veranda at the front that you can also partly close off with sliding windows. If it is a bit windy or it is a bit colder, you can relax under it. To the side of the house is the new swimming pool and the large porch. Next to the porch there is a large bbq. We also have an outdoor kitchen under this veranda so that you can cook and have a drink under the veranda in the evening.
Further on the site is an authentic Lamia (a farmer's cottage) and an olive grove. On the property there are about 70 olive trees and various types of fruit trees (orange - mandarin - fig - plum - persimmon - lemon - cactus fruits). Depending on the season, you can also pick and eat the ripe fruit yourself
