This 15th-century house is located in the oldest street in the historic center of Loreto Aprutino . The cozy house has been stylishly renovated by an Italian architect over the past 14 years and used as a work place. It has a modern look with an artistic twist here and there. The beautiful original pietri stones on the walls have partly been made visible again, which gives an attractive effect. Now this gem has a new life as a holiday home. Living room with a spacious sofa bed for 2, kitchen, storage room, bathroom and 2 double bedrooms. And after a day full of activities, or even after a "just lazy" day, you can relax on one of the two terraces with a beautiful view over Parco Nazionale Majella.

I am Eric, 65 years old and married to Rita. Together we form a new family with 4 children and 4 grandchildren. In 2019 we had the opportunity to purchase this beautifully renovated home. Loreto Aprutino, Abruzzo, Italy. The center of Loreto Aprutino is within walking distance from casa Di Tonno. You will find lots of nice bars, coffee houses, restaurants and so much more. There is a lively market every week on Thursday morning. There are many nice sights to visit in the village such as Oleoteca, Ceramics Museum, soon to be football museum (unique in the world!), Various wineries and so much more. Accessibility: From the airports Dusseldorf Weeze and Charleroi there are several direct flights to Pescara every week. In the airport you will find many car rental options where you can go to rent your car. Small tip: reserve your car in advance. Loreto Aprutino is a half hour drive from the airport. You can easily reach the village by bus. Loreto Aprutino is half an hour's drive from the Adriatic coast and for a brisk mountain walk you are an hour away by car.

Eremo di San Bartolomeo in Roccamorice. To reach this idyllic place, it is best to have sturdy walking shoes and a good condition. The path to this is rather rough and difficult. But definitely worth it!

Eremo di san Spirito a Majella, a vault built against the side of a mountain. Accessible via a nice road in nature. A visit to the vault can easily be combined with a visit to Eremo di San Bartolomeo. It is only a 10 minute drive from each other.

We should certainly not forget the delicious cuisine. Typical dishes such as arrosticini. Campo imperatore is the ideal place to taste this delicacy.

The impressive medieval castle with a rich history stands on a rocky ridge in a picturesque and elevated area. It balances over the top of a hill. Beautiful castle to see. It has been restored and is open to the public. Definitely worth a visit!

Casa di Martile
Just returned from a week of 'la dolce far Niente' in Loreto Aprutino. I was in casa di Martile, a cute house in authentic Italian style, everything very neat and clean and a nice view of the mountains with their eternal snow in the distance. Eric and Rita are very sympathetic and helpful. A good base for whatever you want to visit in Abruzzo.

Fabulous stay in lovely Loreto Aprutino. All that we looked for in a rental and more: parking, spacious rooms, very clean, charming owners and helpful property manager, amazing views from windows and balconies overlooking LA, mountains and countryside. This cozy home has been refurbished beautifully and is perfect for a single individual, couple, or family with older children.
