Our new (summer 2016), modern villa is located 500m from the sea, with a fantastic view of the sea, on a plot of 2000m2, where our friends have also built 2 houses. The three houses share the large private pool (also with beautiful sea views) which is nicely sheltered.
Our villa has a BG area of 70m2 with fully equipped kitchen with induction hob, oven, etc.etc, living room with satellite TV and all Dutch TV and radio channels, bathroom (with double shower), bedroom (2 persons) and a 25m2 loft where also 2 beds. The entire ground floor and the bedroom located there are air-conditioned, including the loft.
The villa has a basement of 70m2 where there are 2 double bedrooms so that 6 adults can sleep and stay in the entire Villa.
The terrace with awnings is 36m2 (12m x 3m) and the young garden was planted in October 2016 and has already grown considerably. See also the photos. Furthermore, the villa is equipped with many conveniences: there is a washing machine, there are 2 mountain bikes for the sports enthusiasts among you, an extra (large) fridge with freezer compartments in the basement and large parking spaces on site next to the villa.
There are 11 restaurants within a short distance, some of which are within walking distance. The picturesque harbor town of Agios Nicolaos is at 1500m. This town is the base for boat trips to the famous Blue Caves and the Shipwreck.
Next winter we want to rent out our house on a trial basis. Especially for those looking for peace. The tourist season is over and many of the restaurants in the area are closed. It is really quiet in the North of the island, where our house is located. Only the locals are busy with the olive harvest and the small shop in the town of Agios Nicolaos is open. There you can go for basic groceries such as fresh bread, toilet paper or water. For the big groceries you can go to Zakynthos town (including a large LIDL), where of course all the nice eateries are still open. The weather varies in autumn and winter. From a clear blue sky to gray clouds and rain. However, the sea view remains breathtakingly beautiful. You cannot fly directly to Zakynthos between November and March. Via Athens and transfer to a domestic flight to Zakynthos is the best way. Every day there are consequences to Zakynthos from Athens, with Sky-Express. A ticket is usually around € 50, or you rent a car in Athens and then drive to Killini, a scenic 4-hour route. In Killinni the ferry goes twice a day to Zakynthos. If you are interested in staying in our house for a longer period please email us. Depending on your length of stay, we can agree on a price. Best regards, Ronald & Dia
