Discover the charm of the Sauerland from this picturesque vacation home, located in the idyllic village of Westfeld. The village is strategically located between Winterberg and Schmallenberg and offers direct access to hundreds of kilometers of hiking trails and the nearby ski slopes on the Kahler Asten. It is therefore the perfect base for lovers of peace and nature and for sporting activities such as hiking, skiing, cross-country skiing and mountain biking.
In the fall of 2025, part of the house was renovated. The exterior façade has been completely painted, the bathrooms and utility room have been modernized. Since December, it has been fully available for rental again in a beautiful new look.
The house
The house has 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 3 toilets. There is a storage room for e.g. bicycles, ski equipment etc. A washing machine and dryer are available in the utility room.
The house is fully furnished: on the ground floor a living room, SmartTV, WIFI, dining room, kitchen with oven and microwave and an extra fridge with large freezer compartment. On the first floor is a relaxation room with kitchenette and an adjoining large roof terrace (approx. 20 m2) with a beautiful view over Westfeld. Cozy moments with friends and family can be spent here. The beds are equipped with duvets and pillows, bed linen is provided and included in the price.
If you are traveling with small children, it is good to know that 1 cot is set up as standard. On request, we can also provide two additional camping beds. You must bring your own bedding for the cots. There are also two high chairs in the house.
It is not allowed to smoke in the house, pets are not allowed either.
On site we have a manager for key transfer, access house who also takes care of the final cleaning.
Relax in the Sauerland!
Who doesn't feel like it: there is plenty to do in all seasons, cross-country skiing in winter, skiing on the many ski slopes on and around Kahler Asten in Winterberg or "just" hiking in the snow.
Swimming in the subtropical swimming pool of Bad Fredeburg, visiting various amusement parks in Bestwig and Schmallenberg or being active on the Erlebniskappe on the Kahler Asten (including climbing, tobogganing, bike park, karting). To end the day with a delicious dinner in one of the many restaurants in Westfeld and the surrounding area.
From Schmallenberg and Winterberg there are frequent buses to and from Westfeld.
Since October 2025, we, Wobbe and Evelien, have been the new owners of this beautiful half-timbered house in quiet Westfeld, in the middle of Winterberg and Schmallenberg, at the foot of the Kahler Asten with its many ski slopes and further down our street is the cross-country skiing center. All with snow cannons so snow is guaranteed. In the summer we enjoy relaxing walks in the beautiful nature and good food in the various restaurants in Westfeld.
