This fully furnished 4-person holiday apartment (free WIFI) with beautiful views is located in the rustic village of Eisenschmitt.
This holiday apartment is located on the 1st floor and has two terraces, one of which is covered, with garden furniture and a spacious garden. Approx 500 m2 is fenced for dogs.
The bedrooms are very spacious. Bed linen and towels are not included. Beds are 2 x 1-person 90 x 200 cm.
From the balcony and the terraces you have a beautiful view over Eisenschmitt.
Eisenschmitt is located between the forests with various hiking and mountain biking trails. Eisenschmitt is a state-recognized climatic health resort and Unesco Geopark.
Near Eisenschmitt you will find the famous Himmerod Abbey. You can see the tower from the house. The Abbey is a place of interest. On the other side of the village, at about the same height, is the Köhlerstube. There you can eat delicious food for a small price. The schnitzels are still beaten by hand. The price list is in our house.
In the vicinity is the tourist town of Manderscheid (11 km from the holiday home). What makes Manderscheid so famous are the two castles from the 13th century and the beautiful recreational swimming pool. Trier, Luxembourg, the Moselle, Traben-Trarbach and Bernkastel are nice trips in the area.
A fifteen-minute drive away, in Gondorf, is the Eifelpark. A wildlife and amusement park with various attractions such as a toboggan run, slides and water roller coaster. In the wildlife park in Daun you can drive your car among the animals . You can get out at various places and feed the animals. There is also a falcon show, restaurant and playground is definitely recommended.
In the hot summer days, a visit to the Meerfelder Maar is also highly recommended (9 km from the holiday apartment).
You can also cast a line at the trout farm of Himmerod Abbey.
For hikers there is a beautiful route from the source near the church in the village to Himmerod Abbey.
At the Köhlerstube and Gasthof an der Salm (next to the Church) you can drink a delicious German beer. Of course also something else. At the Gasthof an der Salm you can also order in Dutch.
