La Bastide du Vallon is located in Cotignac, one of the most charming villages in the region. Uniquely located on the edge of the pine forest, in an oasis of peace and yet only a 5-minute walk from the center. The rustic style bastide offers every comfort and is cozy and stylishly furnished. If you are lucky you can hear the wild boars scurrying on the lower ground in the evening or the nightingale singing beautifully. It is definitely a paradisiacal environment.
La Bastide is the ideal place to enjoy the house, the village and the beautiful surroundings with family or a group of friends.
Characteristic of the house is the use of natural materials, colors and the sustainable character of the materials used.
The bastide is built split level. On the ground floor you will find a large open kitchen, a slightly lower living room with two bedrooms and a bathroom with toilet behind it.
On the upper floor there are 2 more beautiful bathrooms, each with its own bathroom.
Under the house is a fully equipped gite with private pool and space for 3 people. We have successfully rented out the gite separately in recent years.
All bedrooms, the living room, kitchen and gite are air-conditioned.
Kitchen
Central here are the large Falcon induction stove and the kitchen island. You will also find a large American fridge with separate freezer drawers and ice maker. For the cooking enthusiast, everything is there.
The large kitchen table can easily seat ten people. During the long summer evenings, however, you will almost exclusively use the various outdoor tables.
The kitchen is directly connected to the slightly lower living room. The high spacious ceiling creates a spacious effect and the authentic fireplace is the centerpiece of the living room.
Outdoor terraces:
Next to the covered kitchen terrace there is a lower terrace. Both with large tables and plenty of chairs. Both terraces offer shade during the hot moments. On the room terrace you will also find the gas BBQ.
Leaving behind the living room
Behind the living room are two slightly lower bedrooms.
The first bedroom with ochre elements has a box-spring bed of 160x200 and direct access to a small terrace overlooking the valley of Cotignac.
The 2nd bedroom with blue elements offers two separate box spring beds of 90x200 that can easily be made into a king-size bed. Also from this bedroom there is direct access to the covered terrace overlooking the valley.
Both bedrooms together use a bathroom with shower, toilet and sink.
Upper floor rooms
On the 1st floor there are two beautiful bedrooms, each with their own bathroom en suite, and a separate toilet room with bidet and urinal.
The master bedroom has a king-size box spring bed of 180x200cm. From the bedroom there is direct access to a spacious covered balcony terrace with a beautiful view of the village edge of Cotignac.
The en suite bathroom offers a double shower, a bath and double sink. The concrete cire gives the bathroom a luxurious look.
The 2nd bedroom offers two single beds of 80x200 cm that can also be made into a bed of 160 by 200 if desired. From the bedroom there is access to a bathroom with sink and walk-in shower with rain shower.
Gite, terrace and pool
Under the house is a separate gite with its own entrance. The gite has a private terrace, a small swimming pool with a beautiful view of the adjacent forest.
The cottage is equipped with a kitchen, living area, separate bathroom with toilet, and a separate sleeping area. In total, the gite is approximately 40m2 in size. It can accommodate 3 people.
Swimming pool
The pool is magical. From the pool terrace you have a phenomenal view of the foothills of Cotignac. On the terraces around the pool there is space for 8 sunbeds and both sun and shade areas. The large pool is fenced with a fence with childproof closure. From the pool terrace there is access to a slightly lower extra terrace.
Outdoor kitchen
Behind the pool is an outdoor kitchen with a refrigerator, outdoor toilet and outdoor shower.
